Nintendo has finally eased its restrictions on most third-party titles, meaning that players can finally play mainstream AAA titles from other publishers on this amazing platform.

This incredible third-party support coupled with a string of brilliant exclusives has led tothe Nintendo Switch being populated with a bevy of great titles, including RPGs that take less than ten hours to complete! Given the massive library of the Switch, it’s great that the following games don’t overstay their welcome and let players enjoy a short and (mostly) focused gaming experience.
10Knights Of Pen And Paper +1 Edition
Knights of Pen and Paperis a simple yet addictive RPG where players control four adventurers who kickstart a DnD session. This simple premise leads to a whirlwind of scenarios and battles that are a ton of fun to play in their own right.
If players ignore the wealth of optional content in this game, then they can definitely get through the entire game in just under ten hours. Of course, given the fun that people can have with this title, this is definitely not recommended.
9Hyper Light Drifter
Hyper Light Driftercombines the best ofold-schoolZelda-esque explorationwith new-age combat to make for a rather exciting experience indeed. Players need to be on their toes and should explore the game world to get all the upgrades they need to survive.
Players can still get through the entire game in just under ten hours by just grabbing a few of these upgrades. It might make things slightly harder, but the combat is fun enough that players can work around these issues.

Child of LightisUbisoft’s attempt at a turn-based RPG. Suffice to say, they’ve done a commendable job despite the game’s few caveats.
The game’s dialogue is spoken exclusively in rhymes, which can get pretty annoying after a point. However,Child of Lightdoesn’t really overstay its welcome and makes for a great RPG that is worth spending a few hours on.

Supergiant Games are well-known for being experts at tying both a game’s narrative and gameplay. This holds true forTransistoras well, even though this title is a bit rough around the edges.
However,the excellent combat and story of this gamemore than make up for its minor deficiencies. It’s an excellent title that any fan of concise RPGs should check out.

Deltaruneis the long-awaited sequel toUndertalethat fans absolutely love. Toby Fox has clearly grown as a developer, and this shows in the various advancements ofDeltarune’s gameplay systems.

A Metroidvania RPG that many people haven’t heard of, the short and sweet game that isDust: An Elysian Tailfeatures great combatand striking hand-drawn visuals that are a joy to look at.
The game might be a little rough around the edges, but its relatively short playtime ensures that players don’t have to bear with these issues for all that long anyway. It’s a great Metroidvania title that fans of the genre will have a great time with.
