For those unfamiliar with the games,Battlefield 1is set during World War 1 and earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release. In fact, it was seen a sort of return to form for the franchise and DICE after some off years, and is generally considered one of the betterBattlefieldgames in recent years.Battlefield Vreviewsweren’t quite as positive, but the game was still relatively well-received.
WhereasBattlefield 1is set during World War 1,Battlefield Vis instead set during World War 2. It features campaign and multiplayer modes, along with the Firestorm battle royale. Unfortunately forBattlefield V, the Firestorm battle royale mode didn’t quite take off like the battle royale modes in other games did. There are rumors thatBattlefield 2042will have a battle royale mode at some point after launch, but the developers have denied these claims.
In any case, this is a great opportunity for anyone interested to try the two latest games in theBattlefieldseries while they wait forBattlefield 2042. TheBattlefield 2042release date is October 22, so there’s still a few more months to wait, but fans won’t actually have to wait that long to play the game. ABattlefield 2042open beta is planned to take place at some point prior to the game’s release date, giving fans the opportunity to try ahead of time.
