Over the past couple of decades, few media franchises have become as popular as theHarry Potterseries. The novels written by J. K. Rowling follow a boy named Harry Potter as he trains to be a wizard at Hogwarts and takes on the evil Lord Voldemort. If a person has not read the popular book series, then there is a good chance they have seen its film adaptations. Recently, one player decided to pay homage to a beloved location from this franchise in the world ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as HPfan94 shared a collection of pictures of a recent home they designed inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. While decorating homes in the game is a common occurrence, this design stood out as they decided to give it aHarry Pottertheme. Among the pictures, the Reddit user included an image of the outside, revealing that it had acastle look reminiscent of Hogwartsfrom the series. There was even a bridge leading up to a large stone entrance accented by pair of lamps. Adding to the scene, a player dressed presumably as the great wizard Dumbledore stood in front.

In addition to showing off the outside of the house, HPfan94 decorated several interior rooms with themes reminiscent of those seen in theHarry Pottermovies. One was meant to represent the Gryffindor Common Room, while others were designed to look like classrooms seen in series. In addition, most of these images of Hogwarts contained three players that weredressed to look like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. Several more players portrayed other wizards from the story.
Beyond posting screenshots of the house on Reddit, HPfan94 gave fans some details on how they came up with theHarry Pottertheme. According to the creator, they used the room sketch app available asDLC inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsto help plan the different rooms in the design. In addition, the artist revealed that they worked on the project for approximately four days. However, they noted upgrading the house and unlocking DLC items took additional time.
Since posting this impressive recreation of Hogwarts on Reddit, numerous members of theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscommunity took notice. Over the last week, the post received more than 1,900 upvotes from fans. Among the comments from users, the majority enjoyed theHarry Pottertheme. In addition, many were impressed with HPfan94’s choice of decor used in the house.
This is just one of many intriguing designs showcased by fans in recent days inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. For example, one player created anadorable enclosure for bunnieson their island.
