With a new month comes a new wave of marine wildlife inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. This September, players will be treated to a fair number of new fish, and several new sea creatures, depending on their respective hemispheres.

First and foremost,AC: New Horizonsplayers in the Northern Hemisphere will have their first brush with true salmon. Disregarding the less impressive cherry salmon, salmon are only available in September for players in the Northern Hemisphere (and in March, for Southern islanders). So regardless of the return ofold treasure troves like the golden trout, players may want to focus on hunting down the once-a-year salmon.

Sea creature changes will be more subtle -bid farewell to the spooky vampire squid, but keep an eye out for sweet shrimp (or the flashy firefly squid, if playing in the Southern Hemisphere.) See below for a quick overview of all the new fish and sea creatures to expect this September.

*  Salmon and King salmon are only available in September. They will be available for Southern Hemisphere islanders in March.

Fishers looking for extra bellsshould keep their eyes on the golden trout, sturgeon, and char, more than anything else, as they aren’t extraordinarily rare, and offer amazing sell prices.

Northern Hemisphere players don’t have much to look out for in the sea creature department, but Southern players should definitely keep theireyes peeled for swift spider crabs. Sea creatures that sell for more than a couple thousand bells are few and far between. Insofar as fish, both hemispheres can celebrate the return of the precious golden trout. With a price tag of 15,000 bells and a relatively large window of availability, these shining fish are an easy path to extra spending money. Also worth mentioning is the majestic sturgeon - this September newcomer only appears at river mouths, so players will have to be particular with their hunting grounds.
