A year and a half after launch, the final major content update brought support for theHappy Home Paradise DLC. Although content updates forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswould cease shortly after the release of Happy Home Paradise, players continue to support the game in 2023 by sharing their content online for others to enjoy.

Reddit user Suhteva shows how they escaped a vicious attack from bees inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsby using a warp pipe fromtheSuper Mariofranchise. Suhteva panics after accidentally aggravating the bees, but then remembers that the warp pipe may save her from being stung and needing medical help from Resident Services. When the player jumped into her warp pipe, the bees quickly dispersed, and their villager was brought to safety on the other side of the island.
Animal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers may use this same trick fromSuper Marioby purchasing the warp pipe for 5,000 Bells from Nook Shopping. When two warp pipes are placed, the player may travel from one location on the island to another. However, if more than two warp pipes are placed, the player will randomly warp to one of them. A maximum of 40 warp pipes may be placed on the island, and the item cannot be placed inside a villager’s home.
Suhteva’s clip shows that thewarp pipesinAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsare useful for making a quick escape from bees. ThisSuper Mariotrick should work while attempting to flee from arachnids as well, butAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers should still be careful nonetheless.
Warp pipes would also be useful in a potentialAnimal Crossing: New Horizonssuccessordue to being an efficient means of transportation. However, Nintendo may instead introduce those warp pipes in a post-launch update andSuper Marioevent instead of the base game. For now, players may continue to customize their island inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, build out their network of warp pipes, and share wonderful content with others in the community.
