Though the Nintendo Switch port is expected to remain on the platform for the foreseeable future, the mobile version has been cut to put the development resources elsewhere.

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed thatApex Legends Mobilewill be shut down on July 21, 2025, which leaves fans of themobile version ofApex Legendsonly 90 days to get their final drops in.Apex Legends Mobilewill go offline at 1:00 PM PT, but all in-app purchases have been disabled as of today in preparation for the conclusion. According to Respawn, development onApex Legends Mobileis being halted because the content pipeline for the mobile battle royale no longer fits their “quality, quantity, and cadence” standards.

Similar to other versions ofApex Legends, players could buy cosmetics throughmicrotransactions inApex Legends Mobile, but those cosmetics may not be refundable. Respawn Entertainment has confirmed through an FAQ that all purchases will remain on anApex Legends Mobileaccount until May 1, but players looking for a refund will have to contact the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The Respawn Entertainment statement also suggested that the developer is looking at other ways to approach mobile in the future, which may hint at a future announcement.

The launch ofApex Legends Mobilewas met with some positivity as a portion of the community had already been anticipating the readily available version, but it may have since plummeted in engagement given the game’s closure. Like otherlive service titles such asTitanfallorAnthem,Apex Legendsmay avoid any legal issues regarding the microtransactions that are lost by players once the game goes offline because of the terms of the EA User Agreement which players need to sign before playing the battle royale.
