While Permadeath is still on the way, Update 1.0.6 has finally arrived and makes good on Ubisoft’s promise for a New Game Plus option.
Update 1.0.6. has finally arrived forAssassin’s Creed Mirage, with the biggest piece of the patch being a dedicated New Game Plus. Players can find this option from the Title Screen or Pause menu, and it allows the playthrough to directly skip the prologue and kick things off in Baghdad proper. As expected, the option will only be available on the main story has been completed on any difficulty and will allow the player to retain all of their currently collected skins, gear, and costumes. To entice players, Ubisoft also revealed Bayek’s Medjay outfit unlock for Basim, which is available for those starting a New Game Plus run, plus three additional dyes for it that become available throughout the run.
The patch also features a vast array of bug fixes both in general gameplay as well as fixing numerous quest related bugs. In addition,Ubisoft has also tweaked the Parkour mechanicsby increasing the back and side eject range which should allow Basim to quickly reach higher elevations while also crossing larger distances. The patch ranges in size from 2.03GB on the PS5, 4.76GB on Xbox Series X/S, and 5.03GB for PC players.
The addition of New Game Plus marks off a big fan requested feature for the game, though Ubisoft isn’t done yet.
