Despite being surrounded by danger, there are certain characters who still end up making flawed decisions, which jeopardize their safety and the safety of those around them. The stupid decisions made by these characters also affected the story in one way or the other. Here are some of the characters fromAttack On Titanwho made the dumbest decisions.

7Armin Arlert

Armin has always had the reputation of being smart and guiding others in tough situations, but he isn’t completely flawless. On numerous occasions, Armin managed to find himself in positions where he did not have any say.

He supported Eren in most of his decisions, and he always tried to help him. As seen throughout the series, Armin’s decision to help out Eren wasn’t always the best, and it ended up affecting a lot of other people in the series, such as whenhe decided to turn into the Colossal Titanin Marley.

6Mikasa Ackerman

Like Armin, Mikasa has been a part of Eren’s life for a long time. She is a member of the famed Ackerman clan, but due to unfortunate incidents, she ended up living with the Yeager Family. The Yeagers took care of Mikasa as if she was one of their own.

Mikasa was indebted to them, and she vowed to keep Eren safe from any kind of harm. In the beginning, this seemed like a good decision, but with time it became clear that Mikasa’s devotion to Eren had blinded her to the point where she would hurt other people. Mikasa always hoped that Eren would go back to his old self, but it never happened.

5Reiner Braun

Not many characters went through the same level of development as Reiner. Reiner went from hero to villain to hero again. Reiner’s character is quite complex, which makes him an interesting character.

Reiner showed his stupidity whenhe was on top of the wall with Eren and Bertholdt. Something came over Reiner, and he decided to tell everyone their big secret. It is easy to see that Reiner was under no pressure to tell the Survey Corps members that he and Bertholdt were Titans.

4Levi Ackerman

At one point in the series,Levi Ackerman was considered to be the strongest soldierin the Survey Corps. Erwin Smith was aware of how valuable of an asset Levi was to humanity. For the majority of the series, Levi carried out the missions without fail, but there were moments when he too suffered from the inability to make the right decision.

The first bad decision that Levi made was when he chose to intimidate the Female Titan, which sent the Titan into a frenzy and led to his entire squad being wiped out. Another bad decision was to let Armin become the Colossal Titan when he knew that Erwin would have been more valuable. Finally, the worst decision that Levi made was to put the bomb in Zeke when there was absolutely no need to do it.

3Ilse Langnar

Ilse was a member of the Survey Corps. She was selected to lead one of the wings of the second brigade, which meant that she was dependable enough to lead. Sadly, all of her comrades ended up being massacred by the Titans.

Ilse ran into a forest where she encountered an eccentric Titan. Ilse tried to talk to the Titan, and surprisingly the Titan responded to her questions. After a brief question-answer session, Ilse became frustrated and started to scream at the Titan, which everyone can agree was a bad decision. The Titan began tearing its flesh which horrified Ilse, so she decided to make a run for it. However, the Titan managed to bite her head off and left her for dead.

2Levi’s Whole Squad

Levi’s Squad suffered a tragic fate when they were upagainst the Female Titan. The squad had a big responsibility on their shoulders, and they were eager to get the job done. While the squad was with Eren, they were constantly trying to convince Eren to trust them.

They wanted Eren to depend on them, so they could take down the Female Titan on their own. This wasn’t a good decision by any means, and it led to the entire squad being massacred. Levi’s squad could have used Eren’s help, and they could have captured Annie without suffering all the casualties.

1Eren Yeager

Eren Yeager is the protagonist of the series and the most controversial character as well. After watching his mother being eaten by a Titan, Eren was traumatized, and he wanted to help other people to fight against the Titans. This version of Eren was great as he planned to resolve things peacefully.

But, as the series went on, Eren changed, and the consequences were dire. Eren took over power, which resulted in many of his fellow Survey Corps members dying. Another instance where Eren showed his foolishness was when he decided to interrupt Reiner’s conversation with Bertholdt. Instead of interrupting them, Eren could have quietly listened to them. However, hisstupidest decision was to start the Rumbling, which resulted in more than half of the world’s population being wiped out. Eren considered this plan the only way of helping the people of Paradis Island.
