OneBaldur’s Gate 3player manages to use the game’s flexibility to set up an elaborate explosive barrel sequence inside a town and unleashing fiery chaos, death, and destruction. Many times, players need to roll a virtual dice to determine how certain actions or encounters play out which can sometimes lead to unique outcomes and differences between players based on their choices. .
In fact, some players have found outside the box solutions to overcome traditional problems in game. One high profile example comes fromMinsc voice actor Matthew Mercer,who appeared on a stream with Larian founder Swen Vincke, utilized the game’s toolset to stack 45 crates together, which served as a makeshift ramp. At the top, Mercer was then tall enough to shoot an Arrow of Transportation over a defensive wall and into the castle. Along similar lines, another player has used the in-game tools to create something a little more destructive.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, a YouTuber named Okoii set up an elaborate explosive barrel sequence inside a town. After hoarding an insane amount of explosive barrels from Act 1, Goblin Camp, andZhentarium hideout, Okoii went about strategically placing them around town, almost in a domino like way. Once the entire town was covered, the resulting explosion was absolutely massive causing a chain reaction that not only resulted in performance issues but killed all NPCs and caused structural damage throughout. For the cherry on top, the final shot showcased the four barbarian halfling players, standing over the ruins.
TheBaldur’s Gate 3post proved to be a big hit with the community as many called Okoii a barrelmancer for their work in setting all of that up while others were impressed by the actual editing required to make the video look and sound the way it does. In the comments, Okoii also confirmed that the barrel sequence set up, and then the editing process alone took about 8 hours, with many others assuming that the event needed to be redone a few times in order to get all the various angles used in the final video.
As many noted in the comments, this isn’t the first time Okoii attempted some outside the box techniques inside a game. In fact, this explosive barrel segment is part of a longer video showcasing four halfling barbarians, though Okoii has also created plenty of uniqueElden Ringvideos as well.
