Among the many NPCsyou meet as you progress throughBaldur’s Gate 3, a Dwarf girl named Korrilla may give you mixed feelings. On the one hand, you can meet her several times during side missions as a harmless NPC. Additionally, if you are affected by the sleeping potion during a meeting with the Priestess Gut, Korrilla will help you escape. But on the other hand, this girl works for Raphael, and will become your enemy in thefinal battle of Act 3.
If you choose the path of evil, you can kill Korrilla without serious consequences for the plot. But you can also choose to spare her.
Should You Save Korrilla?
First, it is worth noting that the decision to kill or save Korrilla inBaldur’s Gate 3depends solely on the player’s preferences. Neither decision will have serious consequences for the plot, since she is not a key character in the story. The core role of this NPC is her family ties with Hope.
Korrilla is Hope’s sister, so despite all the problems, the girls care about each other. Therefore, the death of Korrilla will have an effect during several dialogues with her sister:
However, your decision will not affect your future relationship with Hope. She will not retaliate against you and will not become more or less friendly towards your group depending on whether you save her sister or not. It’s just a couple of alternative lines of dialogue.
How To Save Korrilla During the Fight with Raphael
When starting a battle with Raphael, many players will unintentionally kill Korrilla. A large concentration of enemies and powerful AOE attacks from Raphael and from your own party often leave the girl no chance. In addition, few people will decide to leave a hostile girl alive during the first playthrough.
Killing Korilla is extremely easy, but you must knock her out to save her. To do this, activate the knock-out option and attack her with melee attacks. Spells will seem like a more convenient option, but they will likely deal lethal damage to her.
Note that you will also have toprotect Korrilla from AOE attacks. While unconscious, she can still take damage, making your battle a little harder. In addition, if you cannot complete the battle bykilling all the enemies, try casting theFeign Deathspell on Korrilla. The girl is still considered hostile despite her unconscious state, and this spell can help. But considering that the reward will be only a couple of lines of dialogue, the value of this whole venture is very doubtful. It’s more of a roleplaying or story choice than anything else.
