While traditional favorites like Pale Ale, Fairy Rose Honey, Goat Cheese, and Starfruit Wine remain top contenders, the update introduces several new high-value Artisan Goods. Considering these recent changes, this list has been updated to feature even more profitable Artisan Goods, providing new and old Stardew Valley players with more ways to boost their profits and expand their farming empire.
1Cloth
Turn Wool Into Profit
Outside of building mills,making new clothes,and completing the Artisan Bundle,Clothmay be an easy Artisan Good to overlook, but it isn’t one players will want to ignore. A single bundle of material sells for 470g at base value or 658g with the Artisan skill. While this is less than Iridium-quality Wool, which goes for 680g, the better raw material has a 50% chance of producing two pieces of fabric at once, making the extra step to produce Cloth a worthwhile venture more often than not.
To make Cloth from Sheep or Rabbit Wool, players will first need to unlock the Loom recipe by reaching Level 7 Farming. Once crafted, Looms can spin any sheared or dropped Wool into Cloth. Sheep produce Wool to shear every three days, while Rabbits drop Wool every four days.
2Raisins
Dry Out Grapes To Increase Their Value
Update 1.6 introduced new items to take players' farms to the next level. Among theseis the Dehydrator, which can dry out fruits and mushrooms to raise their value. TheDehydratormakes Dried Fruits from any fruit placed in it, except for grapes. These produceRaisinswhen dried out.
It takes five grapes to make raisins. Since the base selling price for grapes is only 80g, raisins increase their value by 200g before considering perks that raise the benefit of selling Artisan Goods. Making Raisins is a good alternative way to boost the profitability of grapes rather than making wine.
3Duck Mayonnaise
Turn Duck Eggs Into Artisan Goods
After upgrading their Coop into a Big Coop, players canbuy Ducks from Marnie. Once they mature, ducks will lay one egg every other day. These can be sold for 95g or put in a Mayonnaise Machine to become Duck Mayonnaise. Three hours later, the player will have an Artisan Good that’s worth 375g at its base level.
While the price goes up along with the quality of the Duck Mayonnaise, it is only produced at half the rate of regular Mayonnaise, making it somewhat less reliable than other streams of profit coming from a Coop.
4Mayonnaise
Make Good Money From Regular Eggs
Mayonnaise can be made as soon as players have a mature Chicken in their first basic Coop. It does not matter if the Chicken Egg is brown or white, it can be turned into Mayonnaise. Unlike Ducks, Chickens lay eggs every day, which makes regular Mayonnaise more reliable.
The quality of Mayonnaise increases to Gold once Chickens start laying Large Eggs, which helps start to scale the profits that players receive off of their Coop. Later in the game, players canuse Ostrich eggsto increase their income from Mayonnaise because one Ostrich egg produces 10 Mayonnaise. Unlike other types of eggs, the quality of Ostrich eggs also determines the quality of the Mayonnaise, so players can make Iridium-quality goods. Golden eggs can also help augment Mayonnaise production, although to a lesser extent, by producing 3 Gold-quality Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is a reliable way to get a stable income from early in the game until money is no longer an object.
5Cheese
A Reliable Source Of Income From Early On
Cheese becomes a reliable source of income as soon as players get their first Milk from their first Cow. It starts at a relatively low selling price, although this usually comes early enough in the game that players actually feel like the base-level Cheese is a big step forward for their incomes.
Once Cows start producing Large Milks, players will make Gold-quality Cheese by default, which is an even bigger step forward toward profits. When players advance their farms to where even Gold-quality Cheese is not as profitable as they would like, they can age it in Casks to boost their profits even more. Because of the early start and various steps of quality, Cheese is an Artisan Good that players can count on for a long time.
6Caviar
A Delicacy In Both Real Life And Pelican Town
Made of Aged Sturgeon Roe,Caviaris one of the most profitable and luxurious Artisan Goods players can produce using the Fish Pond. Unlike most aged roe, which doubles in value during the aging process, Caviar increases the selling price of Sturgeon Roe from 130g to 500g. Should players have the Artisan profession, the good becomes even more lucrative, selling for 700g apiece.
To begin breeding Sturgeon for Roe, players will first need to catch one from the mountain lake during summer or winter and request a Fish Pond from Robin. Once the fish begins producing roe in the pond, its eggs can be aged using a Preserves Jar, making Caviar in several days.
7Mead
Alcohol Made From Fermented Honey
Honey is a great artisan goodfor players to use to have some fairly passive income on their farms. In any season except Winter, Bee Houses will produce Honey every three or four days. Players can make more valuable kinds of honey by placing different kinds of flowers near the Bee Houses since the bees will use those flowers to make their honey.
To make Mead, players just need to place a jar of Honey in a Keg. Mead is worth a good amount of money, especially for players with the Artisan perk. Unfortunately, there are no flavors of Mead based on the flavors of Honey so this artisan good does not scale in quality the way that different kinds of Honey can.
8Pale Ale
This Popular Drink Is Worth More Than Regular Beer
As requested by Pam during the first year,Pale Aleis an alcohol made from one of thesummertime’s most abundant crops,Hops. Placing a Hop into a Keg will yield one Pale Ale within about two days. While the alcohol’s starting value after being brewed is 300g, players can then place the Artisan Good into a Cask to increase its quality. After 34 days, it will age into an Iridium-quality Pale Ale, which is worth 600g at base value or 840g with the Artisan profession.
Like many other items, Pale Ale requires several resources to prepare, but it’s a great investment. Players should aim to buy the first two house upgrades as soon as possible to unlock the recipe for Casks, which they’ll need not only to make the most of Pale Ale but to help with other Artisan Goods as well.
9Dried Fruit
Make Money From These Chewy Pieces
Apart from Raisins, players can make Dried Fruit by placing five of any fruits they want into the Dehydrator. If they’re smart with it and use high-value fruits, likeAncient Fruit,Starfruit, and Pineapples, they can get a handsome profit from each batch of Dried Fruit.
The selling price of Dried Fruit is calculated based on the base price of the original fruit. In the case of Ancient Fruit (base price 550g), the selling price of Dried Ancient Fruit will be 4,150 gold. Similarly, if players use Starfruit (base price 750g) or Pineapple (base price 300g), the selling prices would be 5,650 gold or 2,275 gold respectively.
Higher quality fruits (Silver, Gold, Iridium) generally have higher base prices,resulting in higher Dried Fruit selling prices. The Artisan Profession significantly boosts the selling price of all Artisan Goods, including Dried Fruit. With the Artisan Profession, the selling price of Dried Fruits goes up by approximately 40%.
The availability of high-value fruits throughout the year can impact the production of Dried Fruits. Keeping this in mind, this won’t be a consistent source of income year-round, but is still a great way to make quick profits.
10Fairy Rose Honey
Get The Most Value From Beekeeping
InStardew Valley,the value of honey depends on what flowers or plants are planted nearby. If a Bee House is surrounded by vegetables, fruit, or open land, it will produce Wild Honey, which is only worth 100g. However, placing it near a field of flowers will change the value of its honey accordingly.
