The Crusader: The Ideal Beginner Class

For players just starting out, the Crusader offers the best option for class selection. The Crusader features theuse of heavy armor and weaponry. This is the slowest class available, trading speed for protection and firepower. However, they are able to clear areas in seconds, making them effective fighters.

The Crusader uses the Focus resource to fuel their abilities, and it regenerates automatically. They are the melee specialist of the class options, as they are the only ones that can wield shields and heavy weaponry. This attribute makes them the most effective at close-quarter combat. The Crusader can also equip Power Armor, which beefs up their defense, allowing them to take more damage than the average player. Within this class, there arethree subclasses to choose from.

Assault Crusader

The Assault Crusader is commonly outfitted with the Power Sword and Suppression Shield or, for a two-handed sword, the Greatsword. Effective armor is a Power Armor equipped with a Jump Pack, allowing the Crusader to jump large distances across the battlefield.

This subclass of Crusader comes with the initial perk ofRabble Slayer, which offers a +60% melee damage bonus when the Crusader is surrounded. This option is highly effective at hand-to-hand combat and makes an excellent choice for those who want to get up close and personal with their enemies.

Heavy Gunner

The Heavy Gunner offers the option for switching between close-quarter combat and mid-ranged fighting. The player will start with the Shotgun for closer attacks and the Lasgun for medium-ranged attacks. As the game advances, they’ll unlock deadly weapons of mass destruction.

Exalted Crusaderis this subclass’s initial perk. It offers a +5% damage bonus on kill for five seconds and can be stacked up to ten times. This option is great for those players who like to switch between close and ranged attacks.

The Psyker: The Second-Best Beginner Class

ThePsyker is completely differentfrom the other classes available, in that they use psychic powers instead of physical strength to take on their enemies. This trait is great when players are fighting demons, but has the drawback of potentially summoning more. Each time the Psyker uses their abilities, they influence the Warp, accumulating Warp Heat. At a certain point, the number of Warp Heat points accumulated will create Warp distortions. These can be beneficial, or they can summon more demons, so the player will have to carefully use this feature.
