InBless Unleashed,one of the most important ways that the player can keep themselves battle ready is by upgrading their gear. Understanding the intricacies of Fortifications and enhancements can be tricky, and making a mistake can break a weapon or even cause the character to lose it altogether. Here’s everything players need to know about the essential process of upgrading equipment.
Understanding Enhancements
Updating equipment to keep one’s fighting abilities viable against tough enemies is a complicated process that begins when the player finds an Enhancement Artisan NPC. These characters allow the player to increase the stats and gear score of their equipment. With the help of these NPCs, the player can Fortify their equipment up to level 5. Upon reaching level 5, the equipment can be Upgraded to the next rarity tier. This process resets the equipment’s Fortification level to 0, so it can be a long process depending on the amount of gear involved, but it’smore forgiving than crafting.
There are three types of equipment enhancement inBless Unleashed:Common, Master, and Unlicensed. The Master Equipment Specialist NPC can give the player more detailed information about enhancements, should they desire it.Enhancing equipment does not guarantee that the gear will remain intact, however, and failed upgrades can damage gear,which is definitelysomething that beginners should know.

Common Enhancementis the type of enhancement that the player will deal with most, at least at first. These enhancements cost gold, Artifact Shards, and Artifact Cores, with their exact cost dependent upon the item’s Fortification level and grade. If the equipment fails to be upgraded, it can break, weakening it, downgrading it by one Fortification level, and requiring its repair.
Master Enhancementis rarer and requires the use of star seeds. The drawback of Master Enhancement is that it has a lower chance of successfully upgrading gear compared to Common Enhancement. That said, Master Enhancements that fail impose no penalty, which makes them far safer than Common Enhancements.
Unlicensed Enhancementsare only accessible at the Outlaw Village. Though upgrading equipment in this way is cheap, it is not without risk: equipment that fails to upgrade through Unlicensed Enhancement can be permanently lost. For many players, that risk is far greater than the reward. Though the enhancement system is complicated, it’s part ofwhat keeps this MMO fun.
How To Enhance Gear
Mechanically, enhancing is easy, so players can get rightback to leveling up.To enhance a piece of equipment, the player must interact with an Equipment Specialist and then highlight the piece of equipment they wish to improve. The label “Fortification Available” will then appear, but only if the player has all the required materials. Holding the interact button will Fortify the item, and a prompt will inform the player whether Fortification was successful.

If an item is damaged during the upgrade process,Enhancing equipment does not guarantee that the gear will remain intact, however, and failed upgrades can damage gear.The character can purchase repair tools from Limited Time Merchants using Artifact Cores or Star Seeds so that they can get back tothat excellent MMO questing.
