Borutois the sequel to the famousNarutoseries by Masashi Kishimoto. The story follows the journey of Boruto Uzumaki, the son ofthe 7th Hokage, Naruto. Boruto is a genius, however, his life turns upside down when he is branded by a karma seal by the Otsutsuki that fans were introduced to at the end of the originalNarutostory.

The vast majority of the focus inBorutois, understandably, on Boruto Uzumaki. Other than him,Kawaki also takes a central role, however, other than these two, the vast majority of the characters don’t get much shine. As such, there are several characters inBorutowho deserve more attention yet haven’t gotten it so far.
6Sarada Uchiha
One of the characters who fans would want to shine more often is Sarada Uchiha.Sarada is the daughter of Sasuke and Sakuraand also a genius in her own right, just like Boruto. She is also a member of Team 7 and a teammate of Boruto Uzumaki. She is an Uchiha prodigy and her Sharingan has already made her one of the most feared next-generation ninjas. Unfortunately, Sarada has barely played a role in major fights in the story, other than when she took part in the clash against Boro.
Being Sasuke and Sakura’s daughter, she has a lot of potential to fulfill. She possesses the tremendous strength of her mother, along with her healing abilities, and the exalted powers of the Uchiha clan as well. Sarada is surely worthy of getting her own arc in the series and, perhaps, in the future, fans might get treated to that.
5Mitsuki
Mitsuki is an incredibly powerful characterand another teammate of Boruto Uzumaki. He is also a member of Team 7 and possibly the most mysterious member of the group. Mitsuki is a synthetically created human and the work of Orochimaru, whoNarutofans are very well familiar with. He was created to be the perfect human with the potential to surpass even the Legendary Sannin himself. Mitsuki is exceptionally powerful and has even mastered the ability of Sage Mode despite being so young.
Even when he was in the Academy, he could fight and take down Shino, which is remarkable, to say the least. However, he has not received much attention in the story so far. Mitsuki possesses a very rich character and exploring him would only makeBorutoa better series. He certainly deserves more attention.
4Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke Uchiha is one of the main charactersin both theNarutoand theBorutoseries. In Boruto, he plays the role of the Other Hokage, protecting Konoha from the shadows like his brother once did. Sasuke is also the strongest known shinobi alive, along with Naruto. Now that Naruto has been sealed away, Sasuke is essentially the strongest that they have. Unfortunately, Sasuke has also not received much attention.

Usually, he progresses together with Naruto, however, inBoruto, Naruto has certainly received more attention than him. Sasuke is now the sole leader of the next generation and, as such, he deserves an arc or a potential plotline of his own. Fans of both Boruto and Naruto would love to see that as he is a beloved character and one who everyone holds close to their hearts.
3Shikadai Nara
Shikadai is the son of Shikamaru and Temari. Just like his father, he is known to be extremely smart and possesses an IQ that far surpasses that of an average shinobi. Shikadai is exceptional when it comes to strategies and outmaneuvering his opponents, however, he isn’t as one-dimensional as his father. He is also a great user of Wind Release, which he inherited from his mother.
His character has more depth to him, however, he isn’t explored at all inBoruto, sad as that might be for some fans. Shikadai would certainly flourish if given a story arc of his own, just as Shikamaru received one in Naruto where he fought and finished off Hidan all by himself.
2Konohamaru
Konohamaru is a beloved character fromNarutowho fans saw become a Jonin inBoruto. He is the team leader of Team 7, which is made up of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki. Sadly, Konohamaru doesn’t play any role in the story at all. The last time fans saw him do anything significant was during the Ao arc, and, even then, he was badly beaten by his enemy. Konohamaru is full of potential and the apprentice of none other than the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki.
He intends to become the 8th Hokage one day and if he is to take that title for himself, he has to earn it. So far, he has not shown fans anything that would make him worthy of inheriting t his title. If Boruto does focus on him or sees him get stronger, especially now that the story is heading into its timeskip, fans would absolutely love that decision. Konohamaru is very loved among fans of bothNarutoandBorutoalike.
1Himawari
Himawari Uzumaki is the daughter of Naruto and Hinata and the younger sister of Boruto Uzumaki. Just like Boruto, she is known to be a ninja full of several talents. Himawari is exceptional as she awakened her Byakugan and gave the fans a taste of what she’s capable of when she knocked out her own father. Recently, it was even stated in the manga that she has a power hidden deep inside her that could potentially even rival the likes of Daemon and other Otsutsuki beings.
Himawari, thus, possesses a lot of depth that can be explored in theBorutoseries going forward. She is certainly deserving of her own arc where fans could find out more about what her hidden potential is and how strong she will become in the future. It could be also nice to see her get involved in the main plot more often.
