One of the main goals inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand theWarzonebattle royaleis leveling up, but reaching max level in any given season requires a significant time commitment. Luckily, Activision and Infinity Ward occasionally launch Double XP Weekends to give players much-needed XP boosts, with the latest one live in both the standard game and the battle royale right now.
The latestCall of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzoneDouble XP Weekend is live now and will last until Monday, April 20 at 10am PT. Players will be able to earn double XP for basically everything they do, including standard multiplayer, battle royale, the Ground War mode, and more. Additionally, fans can take advantage of double weapon XP as well, which will allow them to unlock much-needed attachments for their favorite guns at a much faster pace.

DedicatedCall of Dutyplayers may have already fully-leveled their favorite guns in the game, but there are some new guns to take into account as well. TheModern WarfareSeason 3 Battle Pass has added a pair of new guns that players can unlock, including the rather deadlyRenetti pistol, which can be overpowered under the right circumstances and with the right attachments.
Looking ahead,Call of Dutyfans can look forward more double XP weekends and other special events. Infinity Ward has even hinted thatFortnite-style story eventscould even be in store in the case ofWarzone, which should be interesting, to say the least.
There’s even more forCall of Dutyfans to look forward to when it comes toModern WarfareandWarzoneSeason 3. At some point, more new guns are going to be added, and so players will be keeping their fingers crossed for more double XP weekends so that they can level them up as quickly as possible. New maps, multiplayer operators, and other new content are also in the works as well.
Infinity Ward’s regular updatesforCall of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzonehave ensured that the games have maintained their immense popularity. As long as the studio is able to keep the momentum going, there’s no reason to think that they won’t be able to stay on top for some time to come.
