Call of Duty: Warzonefeatures a variety of Finishing Move melee executions that players can use to take out their enemies. Some of these Finishing Moves are free in the game, but some of the more elaborate ones have to be purchased in bundles from the store. One player spent 2500 CP (COD Points) on aCall of Duty: WarzoneFinishing Move, only for things to go terribly wrong when they actually tried to use it.
Reddit user death-gwips' bad luck was displayed in a clip that they recently posted online. In the clip, death-gwips is fighting aCall of Duty: Warzoneenemy that stubbornly won’t get out of one of the game’s vehicles. death-gwips is able to light them up with gunfire pretty much unabated, letting them down the enemy player. Instead of picking them off from afar, death-gwips runs up to their opponent and attempts aFinishing Move melee executionon them while they’re downed.

Unfortunately for death-gwips, they didn’t take into account the damage that they did to the vehicle while their enemy was driving it. The vehicle had actually caught fire from the damage, and death-gwips was standing too close while trying to perform the Finishing Move. The vehicle then exploded, killing death-gwips as well as their downed opponent. It’s unclear if death-gwips was able to go to theGulagfor a chance to rejoin the match or not.
This is far from the first time that we’ve seen aCall of Duty: WarzoneorModern WarfareFinishing Move go wrong. Another popular clip shows aModern WarfareFinishing Move on the Rust map go haywirewhen the player performing the move is sniped while they’re in the middle of the animation. And there are also a variety of clips online showing players get kicked out of their Finishing Move animations due to technical errors.
In the meantime, fans can expect Infinity Ward to keep adding new Finishing Move melee executions toCall of Duty: Warzonemoving forward, as they appear to be pretty popular. Besides melee executions, fans can also look forward to new multiplayer operators being added to the game, along with special cosmetic bundles, like the recently releasedAnime Express bundle, for instance.
