In a post on Reddit, aCyberpunk 2077fan revealed a listing that they’d seen on the site of a South African games retailer. The retailer, Raru, had a listing for a product called “Microsoft - Xbox One Wireless Controller - Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition (Xbox One/Windows 10).” The listing didn’t have a picture of the controller with it; it only had theCyberpunk 2077logo.

The listing has now been removed from the site, but this doesn’t mean that the controller isn’t happening. Microsoft andCyberpunk 2077developer CD Projekt RED have a very good relationship, and it is possible that the two are working together on an Xbox One controller.
CD Projekt RED revealed anewCyberpunk 2077trailerat the Xbox event at E3 2019, which many fans said was one of the best moments of the event. If the two companies could work together on something as important as that, then a specialCyberpunk 2077Xbox One controller design also seems like a possibility
The developer also broughtKeanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand inCyberpunk 2077, to the Xbox event at E3 2019. That was also exciting for fans, and Microsoft was able to keep Reeves' presentation at the event a secret until it happened. That also suggests that CD Projekt RED has faith in Microsoft to keep big releases like this quiet, though this retailer leak may have damaged that a bit.
Some may be wondering why Microsoft is choosing to release new controllers like this so close to the launch of the Xbox Series X. TheXbox Series X will have its own controller design, and many players will want to get special versions of that controller. Gamers may also want to save any money they have for new gaming equipment to buy the new console and not a controller for the old one.
However, the twist is that Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox One controllers will work with the Xbox Series X.Cyberpunk 2077is not confirmed for the Xbox Series X, but theCyberpunk 2077Xbox One controller could be a way for fans to take the series with them to the new console.
Cyberpunk 2077is set to release on September 17th, 2020, for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
