Netflix has ordered additional seasons ofMonster, creating a new franchise for the streaming platform built around true crime’s most violent and well-known monsters.

Monster, which debuted this fall, is on a course to reach 1 billion viewing hours in the coming weeks, regularly appearing inNetflix’s top ten list since its release. The biopic series focuses on Jeffrey Dahmer, the Milwaukee serial killer who is responsible for a number of missing men during the 1980s and early 1990s.
