In the MCU and the real world, Marvel Studios is still fine-tuning the details of its post-Avengers: Endgameera. However, new photos emerging from theDaredevil: Born Againset might have revealed what Matt Murdock was up to during the years after the Blip.Although Marvel fans were already treated to Charlie Cox’s first couple of appearances as the man without fear inSpider-Man: No Way HomeandShe-Hulk, there’s still the lingering question of what version ofDaredevilthis will be. That topic has become of special interest since not only are Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed to reprise their roles, but even Netflix’s ownPunisher, Jon Bernthal, is set to enter the MCU, with the trio’s first steps taking place betweenAvengers: Infinity WarandEndgame.RELATED:As Marvel’s Avengers Limps Toward The End, One Hero Never Being Added Stands OutThat is because, judging from pictures shared on Twitter by Daredevil fan account@DDevilUpdates, Cox was spotted on the series’ set walking past a church sign that clearly shows the scene is meant to unfold in the MCU’s 2020. This is roughly in the middle of the twoAvengersmovies. Naturally, it’s unclear whether what’s beenspotted on theDaredevilsetis a shot coming from a flashback sequence that will be used as part of the show or whether theBorn Againseries will be centered mostly around that period.

Per Marvel’s official timeline (1942-2025),Infinity War’s blip happened in 2018. The Avengers don’t devise theirEndgamemasterplan until 2023, with Hawkeye’s Ronin days unfolding in the five years between the two films, for example. The MCU has moved up to a fictitious 2025, the year in which most recent productions likeDoctor Strange 2,Ms. Marvel,Thor: Love and Thunder,Black Panther Wakanda Forever,Ant-Man 3, andShe-Hulkgo down, withCox’sSpider-Man: No Way Homedebut coming close to the holidays in 2024.

According to Marvel’s records, all of Phase Four occurs after 2023 starting withWandaVision. So theBorn Againleaks could suggest writers are opting to treat Daredevil as a character who honed his skills during the Blip. Kingpin’s rise to power was teased to have happened that way inHawkeye, yet even more intriguing is that the MCU could use the Blip to bridge the gap betweenNetflix’s Daredevil and the upcoming Disney Plus series.

After all, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are all but ruled out fromDaredevil: Born Again. However, giving Matt a story arc where he’s lost his two best friends because of Thanos may be an interesting avenue to explore for this beloved superhero.

Daredevil: Born Againis scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in the spring of 2024.
