Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen has been all aboutCabal Empress Caiatl, and her desire to convince the Guardians to join the Cabal to help them in their fight against the Hive. However, this would require the Guardians to submit themselves to Caiatl as her subjects, which has, as expected, caused quite a bit of tension between the groups. So for most of Season of the Chosen,Destiny 2players have been fighting Cabal in Battlegrounds playlists and elsewhere in the system.
There was some major progress for theDestiny 2story recently when anassassin tried to kill Zavala at the Tower. The Proving Grounds Strike appears as though it will be the next step in the story, with the Guardians facing off against Caiatl’s chosen Champion. How exactly it all goes down remains to be seen, butDestiny 2Season Pass holders will find out once the new Strike goes live on March 23, and everyone else will get to see what happens on March 30.
Next week should be an exciting time forDestiny 2players for more reasons beyond just the new Proving Grounds strikes. TheIron Banner will be making its return to the Crucible, which should help out anyDestiny 2players that still have Iron Banner Seasonal Challenges left to complete in the game.
Speaking of Seasonal Challenges, there should be a fresh batch forDestiny 2players to complete come Tuesday’s Weekly Reset as well. Unless there’s any changes,Destiny 2players should find themselves completing more Battlegrounds, unlocking the Toxicology ornament for theSalvager’s Salvo Grenade Launcher, and more.
Destiny 2is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
