InDiablo 4there are five areas that comprise Estuar, the currently-explorable area of Sanctuary. Players typically start with the Fractured Peaks, but as one of three areas that scale below Level 30, Scosglen often ends up as one’s second major destination early in the game. Scosglen is the homeland of the Druids, as well as Donan in his Firebreak Manor, and Cerrigar serves as its main hub.

Though players naturally end up here in Act 2 ofDiablo 4, there are tons of side objectives here that count for completion of the Scosglen map and renown – like Scosglen Altars of Lilith, Strongholds, countless Cellars, as well as unique elite encounters and build-defining Aspects that beckon all classes (not just Druids) to take on its numerous side dungeons.
Updated July 16, 2025 by Erik Petrovich: To fully complete a map in Diablo 4, there are a few things players need to find, collect, or complete: Altars of Lilith, uncovering the fog of war completely, finishing Dungeons and Strongholds, and even finding all Waypoints are all things required to 100% Scosglen and other D4 zones. But, completion also requires players to have checked off every side quest in a zone, which can take some serious time investment. Luckily, the side quests of Diablo 4, and particularly in the D4 Scosglen map, come with unique stories (and sometimes totally new locations) that make them worth it. Try taking on side quests in Scosglen later on in the game, after reaching World Tier 4, for better rewards from Caches as well as decent XP gains.
All Altars of Lilith in Scosglen
Altars of Lilith confer a small, permanent bonus when found, and don’t need to be found again on other characters. The bonuses are small – +2 to a stat, +5 Max Obols, or a single Paragon Point are common rewards – but there are 160 total in the game, which adds up to an immense amount of power pretty quick.

In Scosglen, there are 34 total Altars of Lilith. The fastest way to get all of the Altars of Lilith in Scosglen is to start from the Fractured Peaks entrance in the zone’s southeast. Head west, then loop back east and loosely travel counter-clockwise across the zone. After reaching the western coast, turn back and head towards Cerrigar to pick up the stragglers.
Scosglen Map Dungeon Locations
There are story dungeons and there are side dungeons inDiablo 4, but only side dungeons matter in terms of map completion. Story dungeons only show up during the campaign, and are essentially one-time experiences. Most side dungeons inDiablo 4reward an Aspect for the player’s Codex upon completion, and Scosglen has a lot of powerful Aspects available.

There are a total of 25 side dungeons in Scosglen, but a select few can only be accessed once an associated Stronghold is completed. It’s a good idea to save these Strongholds for World Tier 3 or 4 for their heightened XP (thanks to spawn rates and the forced level difference).
All Strongholds In Scosglen
All zones inDiablo 4have three Strongholds that can be conquered to restore settlements or simply remove the presence of an evil entity from the area. Strongholds offer a short story-based quest, are always two levels above the player, and reward 100 Renown in the region they are found.

The three Strongholds in Scosglen: Moordaine Lodge, in the northeast of the zone, Tur Dulra, in the east of Scosglen (and an important location for the Druid class), and Hope’s Light, a lighthouse off the far northern coast.
Where To Find Every Scosglen Waypoint
Waypoints are important not only for fast travel and ease of access toDiablo 4’s timed world events, but they also reward Renown upon being discovered. Some Waypoints are sitting there waiting to be activated with no prerequisites, but a handful can only be unlocked after completing a Stronghold or other objective.

In Scosglen, there are a total of eight Waypoints. Most of these Waypoints can be unlocked just by finding them, except for the Waypoint at Tur Dulra, which is only unlocked once the Stronghold of the same name is overcome.
All Scosglen Cellar Locations
Cellars inDiablo 4are very short side “dungeons” that take place in a single room. After players descend into a Cellar, they are given a semi-randomized objective to complete. These can range from simply killing everything that spawns for a regular chest to versions of overworld Events with potential for mastery rewards. There is also a very small chance that three Treasure Goblins spawn instead of an event.

There are a total of 26 Cellars in Scosglen, spread throughout the zone pretty evenly with no meaningful “best route” to take. Instead, it’s a good idea to simply complete Cellars as one goes through the game’s main campaign, as they aren’t always worth stopping for in the endgame at World Tier 3 and 4.
World Boss Arena Location in Scosglen
EveryDiablo 4area has a zone specifically allocated for World Bosses. World Bosses inDiablo 4spawn on a relatively regular schedule, and there are a lot of sites dedicated to tracking when the next will spawn, likeDiablo4.life,Helltides.com, andMapGenie. If you can kill each of the three World Bosses each week, you get a special Cache with better chance for high-tier loot.

In Scosglen, the World Boss arena is called Caen Adar, and is found just north of the Corbach Waypoint. Fast travel to this Waypoint and head directly north to find Caen Adar about a minute’s ride away. Alternatively, if heading here from Cerrigar, head northwest through the Emerald Chase, then turn to head East before the Carrowcrest Ruins.
Unique Bosses In Scosglen Map
There are a dozen or so unique, named Elites that players can encounter in the overworld ofDiablo 4. Each of these elites will drop a Rare item upon defeat with a bit of flavor text and the sameset of stats, with different rolls each time it drops of course. Some of these Rares serve as powerful bases for Aspect infusion, making these rare Elites worth hunting down.

In Scosglen, there are four unique Elite bosses that players can find: Lord Eonan in the western Deep Forest, Garbhan Ennai in the central area of The Downs, Blind Odwyn in the western Shrouded Moors, and Gaspar Stilbian in the southwest Highland Wilds.
All Side Quests In The Scosglen Map
Side quests inDiablo 4take place separate from the main story, though plenty of them are not available until players complete the main campaign. Side quests each follow a unique narrative thread, and though they sometimes interlink and relate to one another thematically, they each make for a nice diversion from other monotonous endgame activities like Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons, which were made more tedious with the Season 1 patch.

Of all the zones inDiablo 4, Scosglen map might be the most side-quest-dense. With more than 40 total side quests for players to hunt down and complete, it will take more than one session to get all Scosglen side quests finished. The chase is well worth the time investment, though, as Scosglen’s stories are very varied – and could be particularly engaging for Druid players. Be sure to complete the Scosglen zone, reach World Tier 4, and look around for some Strongholds to clear to gain access to every quest in Scosglen.
