On the Blizzard website, the team recently posted a development update that covered several topics. After conducting theDiablo ImmortalClosed Alpha testing, the team reported that they learned a lot about the game’s community, and more about what players want to see within the game. This feedback is the reason the game’s release date has been moved from 2021 to the first half of 2022 instead. Claiming to focus on fine tuning core and endgame features, the team will tackle issues in PVE, PVP, character progression, and controller support.
The post also went into detail on each of the features the developers will be focusing on. This includes adding more PVE-centered Raids, and adjustments for the Bounty system, one ofDiablo’s key gameplay features. For those interested in PVP,Diablo Immortalintroduced the Battleground system where players can go head-to-head with each other. The team will also focus on tweaking this feature’s elements to provide an enjoyable and fair experience.
