This is because he was initially shown as a ruthless Saiyan Elite who thought very little of pretty much everyone else, but during his time on Earth, he has changed almost completely from a callous and unfeeling killer to a warrior who is always seeking to protect his loved ones by getting stronger.
Despite not being as destructive as he was in his youth, Vegeta is still one of the most powerful mortals in the entireDragon Ballmultiverse. His strength is legendary and, according to Beerus, he is powerful enough to be considered as a candidate tobecome a God of Destructionin any other universe, so let’s take a look at Vegeta’s most impressive feats.
Story Arc
Saiyan Saga
When Vegeta made his debut in the series, he was shown as an enemy so powerful that he could destroy entire planets with a single attack. His eventual clash with Goku was one of the most legendary fights in anime, as it had both of them gain the upper hand at different points of the story, showing how close of a battle it truly was. Vegeta’s strength was on full display once more, as he charged up a Galick Gun powerful enough to destroy the Earth.
Strength is the only thing that matters in this world.
Significance
Many in the fandom continue to believe to this day that the winner of this fight was Vegeta, as he was about to crush Gokuin his Great Ape formbut was prevented from doing so by Goku’s allies. Had Vegeta gone through with this, he would have killed Goku and proceeded to enslave or destroy the planet, which he was about to do with his Galick Gun but was stopped by Goku’s Kamehameha.
Android Saga
Although the Frieza arc would pass and Vegeta’s wish of becoming the Super Saiyan of legend wasn’t realized, he eventually awoke this power in the Android Saga when facing Android 19. This was one of the most one-sided showings in the history of the franchise, as Vegeta did the unthinkable by making an inanimate machine experience the emotion of fear!
One doesn’t predict or calculate power like ours. I am curious; are Androids capable of feeling anything akin to real fear?
Vegeta’s fight with Android 19 cemented him as the favorite character of many fans due to how cool he was. His newfound strength was also pretty apparent, as he terrorized the machine and completelyblew it apart with his Big Bang Attack. The Prince would only get stronger later on after unlocking his Super Vegeta transformation, which made Imperfect Cell feel scared as well.
Majin Buu Saga
Vegeta’s finest moment in the series was also one of his most powerful, where, in an effort to destroy Majin Buu and work against the powers of Babidi that were controlling him, Vegeta let out all of his remaining energy in a blast so powerful that it killed him as well. Though Majin Buu eventually regenerated, the blast reduced him to atoms, which were unfortunately enough to allow him to return.

For Vegeta fans, this is the moment that most point to when asked why this character is their favorite. After willingly falling victim to Babidi’s mind control, Vegeta would see the error of his ways, knowing that to atone for his sins, he had to give his life to destroy Buu.This felt like the culmination of Vegeta’s character arcand an event that forever changed him in the eyes of almost every fan of the series.
Golden Frieza Arc
Ever since the end of the Namek Saga, fans of the series believed that no one other than Vegeta deserved to put the Galactic Tyrant, Frieza, down for good. However, he never got the opportunity due to Goku’s ascension to Super Saiyan. Ultimately, Vegeta would finally face the Frost Demon in theResurrection Fmovie, where he transformed into Super Saiyan Blue and proceeded to pulverize the villain.
That’s right, you had no idea, did you? I’ve been a Super Saiyan for years. And now… I too have the power of a God!
Vegeta had more of a reason than anyone else in the universe to hate Frieza, which is why it was so satisfying to see him beat him senseless. Although Frieza hadreturned in his powerful Golden Form, Vegeta revealed that he was not slacking off all this time either, finally revealing the power of a God and going on to embarrass the Frost Demon in front of everyone.

Tournament of Power Arc
Vegeta had quite the showing in the Tournament of Power, but not quite close to Goku who had achieved the Ultra Instinct transformation. Try as he might, Vegeta couldn’t do the same, so he resorted to fulfilling his goals through his own means, which proved to be an invaluable decision as he was able to defeat Toppo, who had unlocked his own God of Destruction form!
Only a fool abandons his principles and pride!
Vegeta is known to be one of the hardest workers in the series, so instead of trying to go against his character to unlock Ultra Instinct, he chose to dig deeper within himself to find a unique power.This resulted in Super Saiyan Blue Evolved, whose power he used to overwhelm the Energy of Destruction that Toppo was using, which is insane to think about considering this was the power of the Destroyer Gods. Vegeta would then proceed to eliminate Toppo from the Tournament as well, using the Final Explosion for the second time in his life.,
