AnElden Ringplayer used the game’s character creator to make their character look like an eerily accurate version of a Na’vi from theAvatarfilm series. As with many FromSoftware games,Elden Ringhas become an obsession for some gamers who replay the game several times for the joy of overcoming the challenging enemies and environments, but also to push various elements of the game’s design, like the character creator, to new heights that can inspire the rest of the community.
Elden Ring’s character creator is surprisingly flexible considering iterations found in past FromSoftware titles likeDark SoulsandBloodborne. From the Doom Slayer from theDoomseries toElden Ringplayers making a spot onTyrion Lannister fromGame of Thrones, its character creator seems especially good at re-creating beloved pop culture characters.

A member of theElden RingReddit community who goes by the name SoulfearicAcid used theElden Ringcharacter creator to make their character a member of the Na’vi from James Cameron’sAvatarfilms. All-in-all, it’s an impressive use of the game’s customization sliders. The flat and wide panther-like nose is particularly well done. Not only because of that shape, but because SoulfearicAcid found the right type of facial markings to match the Na’vi’s natural stripe patterns. That’s pattern usage on par with a different player who used theElden Ringcharacter creator to make the comic book icon Spawn.
The large yellow eyes are spot on, and perfectly spaced, giving SoulfearicAcid’s Na’vi character the predatory gaze of Pandora’s dominant species. While the blue skin isn’t an exact match for the more vibrant tones of the Na’vi from the films, it’s likely as close as theElden Ringcharacter creator will allow. The look of a Na’vi who somehow found their way into the Lands Between is rounded out with an outfit of pelts, cloth, and wooden accouterments, including a large log as a club, that gives the character even more texture. Of course, fans of that otherAvatarabout elemental “Benders” shouldn’t feel excluded, as one player has previouslyrecreatedAvatar: The Last Airbender’s opening credits inElden Ring.
Elden Ring’s character creator allows players to build fantastical characters and flesh out their own franchise crossover role-play scenarios. With the power of character customization, players can rightfully put an alien cat person from a sci-fi space opera into the brutal dark fantasy world ofElden Ringjust as easily as they can more fittingly putSimon Belmont from theCastlevaniaseries into the Lands Between.
Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
