Resident Evil 3is set to bring players back to Raccoon City to witness and experience Jill Valentine’s harrowing escape from the T-Virus infected metropolis. Of course, while the remake is expected to remain faithful to the 1999 game, at least to some extent, Capcom revealed thatResident Evil 3remake will also bring new things to the table such as redesigned characters, new storylines, and even a reimagined Jill Valentine.
Of course, while the story ofResident Evil 3mostly revolves around Jill, much of the game’s appeal lies within its primary antagonist, Nemesis. In the past few weeks leading up to the remake’s release, Capcom has been releasing trailers, previews, anda playable demo, giving players a sneak peek on what to expect on the upcoming game. Additionally, the playable demo also gave players the chance to experience a battle with Nemesis himself, which showed just how much menacing the tyrant is in the remake, not only because of his imposing figure and superhuman strength but also because of the deadly weapons he’s able to use. Now, based on what was shown so far, here are all the weapons that Nemesis will be able to equip inResident Evil 3remake.

Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Rocket Launcher
AlthoughNemesis is designed to be much more terrifyingthan his original counterpart, veteranResident Evilplayers would remember that the original version of the tyrant is also capable of using weapons to hunt down members of the STARS. Probably the iconic weapon that was featured in the 1999 game that will make a return to the remake is the Rocket Launcher. The rocket launcher that Nemesis will use inResident Evil 3Remake is a fictional version of the weapon that has no real-life counterpart.
Based on what wasshown in trailers, the rocket launcher in the remake sports a smaller bore, making the weapon much more portable than the original. Additionally, the rocket launcher is painted an olive green color, unlike the gray one in the original game. A new addition to the rocket launcher is a laser aiming module, that produces an orange beam whenever the weapon is tracking its target, and red when it is able to identify it. The addition of the laser would allow players to easily dodge incoming attacks from Nemesis given that it provides a visual cue whenever the weapon is aimed at Jill Valentine.
Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Flamethrower
Of course, the remake wouldn’t be complete without Capcom giving Nemesis a new toy to use in his pursuit of Jill Valentine. As first shown in the Nemesis-centered trailer forResident Evil 3,the creature is shown wielding a flamethrower, making Jill’s escape from the monster a hellish experience. Similar to the rocket launcher, the flame thrower is custom made and does not have any real-life counterparts. When using this weapon, Nemesis is able to hold it in one hand due to his superhuman strength, and a large fuel tank is mounted behind him.
In the trailer, it appears that the flame thrower would have a brief cooldown period before it can be used again, giving players a temporary advantage.Nemesisis also seen attempting to hit Jill with the weapon itself, using it as a club once it can no longer spew flames. It is currently unknown whether Nemesis would use the flame thrower multiple times, but based on what we know so far, it appears that the flame thrower would only be used once during a boss battle.

Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Screenshots
Of course, the most-threatening weapon that players will encounter inResident Evil 3remake is no other than Nemesis himself. The tyrant is made by the Umbrella Corporationby injecting a parasite to a standard tyrant, transforming it into a smarter and bigger bioweapon that is able to take commands from its handlers. Nemesis was made with a single mission in mind, which is to eliminate all surviving STARS members, and unfortunately for Jill, only she and Brad Vickers remain in Raccoon City.
Most of the time, players will find themselves being pursued by Nemesis without the use of any weapons. However, players shouldn’t be complacent in dealing with a bare-handed Nemesis, given that the tyrant is able to hit players with powerful punches, pick them up and thrash them around, and even pull them towards him using his tentacles. Moreover, outrunning Nemesis is also not an easy task becauseunlike Mr. X inResident Evil2remake,Nemesis is able to run faster than the player, and he can even perform a super jump move.
Below are some screenshots of Nemesis wielding both the rocket launcher and the flamethrower, which gives players a preview of all the terrors that await them in theResident Evil 3. Additionally, the latest trailer released by Capcom a couple of days agorevealed the mutated form of the monster, which players can see below:
