In the most recentFall Guysupdate, the team at Mediatonichas implemented a new Level Editorthat allows players to make their obstacle course rounds from pieces and parts used in the game. Players can create levels with unique layouts and use items they’ve learned and loved, such as hammers, fans, and see-saws.
However, this level creator does not come without limitations.Being in a 3D space, it can be pretty tricky, clunky, and feel like a chore to use at times. It also comes with a strict limit on the number of platforms, obstacles, and decorations allowed. Fall Guys Level Design
Before starting and committing to making a level, it’s best to get an idea of the level. While there are many different ways to make aFall Guysround, the game’sdevelopers have a specific way of creating levelsthat players can dissect and learn to make fun, engaging rounds using the level editor.
Using the Level Editor
To start making levels, go to the creative tab (accessed the same wayas the shop or battle pass rewards) and create a new level. The only thing present at the start will be the platform that players will spawn in, which can be modified to be smaller and make the level accommodate more or fewer players. Every story needs a start and finish line and has to be cleared in 4 minutes.
Each object will take up a bit of the limited amount of Budget displayed in the top right corner. These objects can be accessed through a menu and then placed and rotated or modified depending on the object. For example, things like Hammers and Fans can adjust their speed, and basic building blocks like ramps can change their sizes.
Uploading A Level
Once the level is finished, pause and press “publish” to do a test run to clear the level in 4 minutes. After this has been cleared, the level is published with a code. Unfortunately, there is no Mario Maker-style way to play many user-created levels, so players should try andget these level codes in front of streamersor posted online.
If the level is deemed quality enough by theFall Guysdevelopers, it may end up as part of the new show that features exclusively levels made with the level creator. Unfortunately, this show is handpicked instead of randomly picking levels, so it’s not a great way to find many new community-made levels.
