Fallout 76has had a resurgence in popularity following the highly successful release of theFalloutTV show. The game has seenplayer counts that were never even reachedduring its initial release. First time Vault Dwellers may find the large Appalachian Wasteland and some new mechanics overwhelming.
It’s always good to have some allies on your side. Allies were added in theFallout 76Wastelanders Update.These are NPCs that you can hire to watch your CAMP while you’re out exploring. Beckett is one of the more significant allies with a questline and the possibility to romance him regardless of your character’s gender. Here is where you can find him in the wasteland.
Travel to the Rusty Pick Bar
TheRusty Pick Baris a unique shop to the south of Vault 76 in the Ash Heap region. This area is covered in smoke and ash, so you should bring along a Gas Mask to avoid catching airborne diseases. If you areLevel 20and traveling near the bar, some nearby Blood Eagle raiders will broadcast a radio signal. They plan on executing a prisoner, and it’s up to you to stop it.
Ally: Narrow Escape
Track the Ally: Narrow Escapesidequest that you receivefrom the broadcast and head south. TheRollins Labor Campis filled with violent Blood Eagle raiders. There is a set of power armor nearby that can be useful when fighting them. Climb up to the side of the large crane machine and enter it.
Beckett is trapped inside locked away in a cell. you’re able to pass some speech checks to learn that he is an ex-member of the Blood Eagles that wants to leave the gang. Head back outside and find the key to the cell in theSteamer Trunkat the top of the structure next to the crane. More Blood Eagles will attack while you are doing this task.
Find Beckett’s Belongings
Use the key to free Beckett. He will have another task for you.
Head south from the labor camp to fight another group of Blood Eagles. Find Beckett’s Belongings at the back of the area and return them to him. Offer him astay at your CAMP.
Recruit Beckett at your CAMP
Every ally requires you to build a unique workshop object to recruit them. Open your build menu and flip to the Allies tab. BuildBeckett’s Barand he will man the stall at your CAMP. Only one ally can be in your CAMP at a time, so you may have to scrap another ally. He will act as a food vendor, a potential romance, and you can continue his questline.
