One of the biggest clubs in world football, Manchester United has always been among the top teams in theFIFAfranchise. Formation- 4-3-3 Attack
An extremelybalanced and well-rounded formation, this variation of the 4-3-3 plays right into Man United’s strengths. With play focussed centrally around the CAM and striker, and two roaming wingers cutting inside or whipping balls in, players are able to mix up attack and overload the opposition with ease.
Defensively, the two central midfielders work back well and support the classic back four, meaning it’s rare to get caught out on the counter-attack. Overall, the 4-3-3 attack suits Manchester United and allows their best players to play in their strongest positions.
GK- David De Gea (86)
In goal is talismanic Spanish international and long-serving United keeper David De Gea. While not as overpowered as in previous titles, De Gea still boasts 89 reflexes and 86 diving, so can pull off some remarkable instinctive saves. Comfortably thestrongest goalkeeping optionin the United squad onFIFA 22, De Gea should come up clutch when it really counts.
LB- Alex Telles (81)
A tough choice at left-back, as Luke Shaw is unlucky to miss out here. The Englishman is more than capable, and much comes down to personal preference. However, Alex Telles has phenomenal all-around stats and just plays superbly in-game. His pace, physicality and balanced feel make him a great pick, who can contribute in both attack and defense, while Shaw is a solid option to bring off the bench later in the match.
CB- Raphael Varane (86)
In central defense is big-name signing Raphael Varane. The Frenchman was brought into the United team to sure up their back line, and while things haven’t gone so smoothly in the real world, onFIFA 22he does exactly that.

Strong aerially, quick to cover back, and with great tackling ability, he is amongthe best defenders inFIFA 22. With 82 pace, 87 defending and 82 physical stats, Varane is an absolute rock at the back and deserving of his place in the heart of the defense.
CB- Eric Bailly (79)
Partnering with Varane is Eric Bailly. Despite a lower rating than real-world United captain Harry Maguire, Bailly has far better pace than the Englishman, and his 84 jumping, 85 strength and 85 aggression make him a beast at the back. Bailly can win headers, jostle attackers off the ball and dominate physically while having the pace and athleticism to recover if caught out of position.
RB- Aaron Wan-Bissaka (82)
Completing the back-four is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. What the formal Crystal Palace defender lacks in attacking output, he makes up for by being superb defensively. 85 pace allows him to hunt down opposing wingers, while his physical stats give him the ball-winning ability of most centre backs.
It does have to be said that 50 shooting and 68 passing do let down an otherwise brilliant option, but his high defensive work rate means players can rely on Wan-Bissaka to disrupt and defuse all kinds of attacks.
CM- Paul Pogba (87)
On the left-hand side of the midfield trio is World Cup winner Paul Pogba. Despite inconsistent form in real life, Pogba’sFIFA 22counterpart is reliably brilliant. With five-star skill moves, four-star weak foot and great passing and dribbling, Pogba is among thebest midfielders in the game.
Best utilized alongside a more defensive teammate, he is great for those late runs into the box, while possessing good enough long shots to score some absolute screamers if players prefer to try their luck from distance.
CM- Scott McTominay (80)
As mentioned, a defensive foil for Paul Pogba is needed in this lineup, and Scott McTominay fulfills this role excellently. While an 80 rating is nothing special, McTominay plays far better in-game. His size, coupled with 84 physical stats means he is an absolute unit in the middle and wins far more balls than would be expected for a player with his stats.
Although not the quickest, with 66 pace, the rest of his attributes are well-rounded and balanced, and he makes a great choice in the middle for Manchester United.
CAM- Bruno Fernandes (88)
At CAM is one of United’s best players and one of the best midfielders inFIFA 22. Bruno Fernandes oozes quality, and with stats like 86 shooting, 98 passing and 84 dribbling, it’s easy to see why. With a deadly finesse shot and high/high work rates, Bruno is the maestro that makes everything tick when playing with United.

He can score himself or thread killer balls through to teammates, and will almost always grab a goal or an assist in every game. While he would fit most formations, withan out-and-out CAMin the side there’s no way Fernandes could miss out.
LW- Marcus Rashford (85)
On the left wing comes one of the most effective weapons in Manchester United’s arsenal. The pace, skill and dynamism of Marcus Rashford are all world-class onFIFA 22, and make him one of the most deadly attackers in the game.
With 90 pace, 84 dribbling and 84 shooting, Rashford is deadly down the left and can finish changes easily when given the opportunity on front of goal. Equally, hisfive-star skill movesallow him to dribble round and embarrass defenders easily, making him fun to use and frustrating to play against.
RW- Jadon Sancho (86)
Opposite Rashford is fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho. Having signed from Borussia Dortmund last year, Sancho is a great new addition and plays very similarly to his countryman on the other flank. While not quite as pacey as Rashford, he’s still able to take players on down the right wing, and as another five-star skiller with a whopping 90 dribbling, he can be extremely effective at working space out wide and delivering crosses.
This is particularly useful when feeding balls into the final entry on this list, and United’s deadliest attacking asset.
ST- Cristiano Ronaldo (91)
Up top is the one and only CR7. No surprises here, Cristiano Ronaldo is quite simply the best striker inFIFA 22, and will score goals for fun no matter the tactic. His 94 shooting is phenomenal, while 95 jumping means there is nobody better to head home the numerous crosses being whipped in from either side.
There may still be strong debate over the GOAT status in world football, but when it comes toFIFA 22, Ronaldo is without doubt the best goalscorer available and walks into the Manchester United line-up.
