Some fans have asked Square Enix to remake otherFinal Fantasygames, particularly the classic titles that are not in full 3D, but the publisher has not released any new information regarding the same. The Nvidia leak from last year mentioned that aFinal Fantasy 9remake is in development, and in light of recent events, it looks like that leak will end up being true.

The Nvidia leak contained names of some unannounced Square Enix games, including a remaster ofChrono CrossandKingdom Hearts 4.Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Editionreleased just a few days ago, and yesterday,Square Enix revealedKingdom Hearts 4along with a gameplay trailer. It primarily focused on teasing the plot while also showing Sora fighting a massive Heartless in Quadratum. The exciting trailer featured a small gameplay sequence that showed off some of Sora’s moves, including a grappling hook and a drill-like attack.

Since some of these leaks are now official, it makes sense to think that the other major announcements, such as the above-mentionedFinal Fantasy 9remake, will also come true. Assuming this game is in development, it’ll be interesting to see how Square Enix approaches the remake. After all,Final Fantasy 7 Remakehas multiple episodes, and fans will have to wait for years before they can play all the parts. Square Enix may decide to breakFinal Fantasy 9into separate episodes, but it can also make a budget title with new assets, which will technically still be classified as a remake.

Other announcements from the Nvidia leak, such asGod of Waron PC, have also come true, which further adds to its credibility. Assuming that some of the more plausible leaks from this database are correct, fans can expect to see more Sony games, such asDemon’s SoulsandReturnal, to launch on PC in the future.
