Fire Emblem Engage DLC 1: Chapter 1 - The Ancestor
Players unlock the ability toaccessEngage’s DLCin Chapter 6. The enemies scale with the player’s average level, but players might want to wait a little bit before taking this on. The higher the level of the player’s unit, the easier this battle should be. But Tiki’s Bonds are very helpful, and should be gotten as soon as possible. But keep in mind that the DLC uses a player’s current set up, so they may wish to avoid heading into this battle if they have just completed Chapter 11 and are missing some of their Rings. This way, players can bring the main, early Emblems along to the Divine Paralogue islands. When first encountering Tiki, she will ask to fight before joining. Here’s a breakdown of the battle.
The first thing manyFire Emblem Engageplayers will notice is that there are enemies on platforms with Silence staffs. This means they will need to bring at least one flying unit to take care of them quickly. Other than Tiki herself and her Phantom Wyvrens, most of the enemies here are fairly basic without any special stats or amazing weapons. But since there is a chance of healers being silenced, each character will need a vulnerary or other healing item with them.
Another thing for players of thisSwitch-exclusive JRPGto note is that the map is rather large, and it takes a whole lot of moving around to get anywhere. Thankfully, there are ice tiles that temporarily increase a unit’s move speed by +2; just end a turn on the tile and the next turn will have non-flying units moving at a much higher pace.
New units will begin to spawn during the fight, but these are fairly basic units and another Wyvern. Units will keep spawning by the front door every other turn toward the south of the map as the fight continues. After the fight is complete, male Alear or female Alearcan run around and adopt animals, pick up the items, and chat with their allies.
The Treasure in Tiki’s Battle
Players will want every treasure on this map. There are four locations for loot, including the ??? sparkle and three chests.
Other DLC Locations
There are currently five other locations on the DLC island that unlock after defeating Tiki, but players will not yet be able to access any of them. TheseDivine Paralogues will be future DLC forFire Emblem Engage, with new bracelet Emblems. These are all planned to be released sometime in 2023.
