Fort Solisis the debut video game for studio Fallen Leaf, working in conjunction with Black Drakkar Games and publisher Dear Villagers. The game centers around Jack Leary (voiced by Roger Clark, the voice ofRed Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan), a senior engineer on Mars, as he responds to an emergency alarm call out from the remote mining base of Fort Solis. Together with the assistance of Jessica Appleton (voiced by Julia Brown ofThe Last KingdomandWorld On Fire), Jack must get to the bottom of the mystery of what happened to the inhabitants of the outpost in a tense and high-fidelity, narrative-focussed psychological thriller.
Players do not necessarily have a lot to do in terms of gameplay, which largely comes down to Quick Time Events and limited exploration within the facility of Fort Solis. However, there are additional collectibles and challenges for players seeking to attain 100% completion. While the game is advertised as being playable like a ‘Netflix series’ withepisodic chapters or the chance to binge, players should note that theywill not be able to select loaded saves in the game. Instead, they will have to continue from their last auto-saved checkpoint regardless of where in the story they might like to play. For this reason, it is best to complete the game in as short a time as possible, since this feels like how such a cinematic and movie-like game should be played.

Main Story Completion Time
While the developers have claimed that the main story will take playersroughly 4 hours to complete,it can really be done inless than 3,especially for players who have a vague idea ofwhere they are goingand what they are doing. The first chapter will take players between half an hour and forty minutes to complete. The second will be longer, at around an hour’s worth of gameplay. Chapter 3 is also relatively short at around half an hour, while the final chapter should take players around an hour to complete.
Despite its short length,Fort Solisis still worth multiple playthroughs. It can be easy to miss many of the game’s hidden clues and audio logs, which help to develop and enrich the game’s characters and story the first time around.
100% Completion
Toachieve 100% completion, it will take slightly longer:up to 5 hours.Many of the collectible items are quite straight forward to find, and achievements are awarded for various interactions with objects around the station. With a total of 20 achievements available, it is possible for achievement-hunters to attain 100% completion in a single playthrough. Most players will unlock many of these simply by progressing through the game’s main story.
To achieve 100% completion, players will need to knowhow to unlock Helen’s safein the final chapter of the story. They must also interact with items such as the beer bottle, snooker table and punch bag.
