Summary

After nearly a full season with an obvious lack of mobility items, gamers will once again be able to swing from place to place on theFortnitemap. Chapter 4 Season 3 made somesignificant changes toFortnitecompared to the previous season. The jungle biome was the most noticeable addition to the game this season, and within it, there were even more new features that gamers got to explore and enjoy as part of theFortniteWILDS theme. Unfortunately, there was one particular aspect of this season that many gamers weren’t fans of.

InFortnite, players are pushed closer together as the match progresses by a deadly storm. Once the Storm Circle starts closing in, gamers have to move to a safe area because the longer they’re in the storm, the more health they’ll lose, and they might eventually fall victim to it and get eliminated. The mainFortniteisland is huge, and players can oftentimes find themselves having trouble getting out of the storm, which is what makes mobility items such a crucial part of the game.

Various players complained thatChapter 4 Season 3 has lacked mobility options. While cars remained available and Raptors made a return to the game, useful items like the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters, the ODM Gear, and the Kinetic Blade were vaulted by the end of Chapter 4 Season 2. Thankfully, Epic Games has realized that players need more mobility items, so it’s putting the Grapple Gloves back in the game. The Grapple Gloves can be found as floor loot or inside chests, and they’re available in both the Battle Royale game mode as well as the Zero Build game mode.

It actually took longer than expected for this item to return. In early June, leaks suggested that theGrapple Gloves could be coming back toFortnite, as they had been added to the game’s files as part of the NPC loot pool.

Chapter 4 Season 3 is coming to an end on August 25, which means players will only be able to play a few weeks of this season with mobility options. Epic Games has been experimenting with mobility because, for a while, it has felt as if having too many items that allow gamers to move quickly through the map downplays theimportance of the Storm Circle inFortnite. The developers are constantly trying their best to keepFortniteas balanced and fun as possible for all its players while keeping it fair and its Battle Royale aspect intact.

Fortniteis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
