Fortnite’s Game Time Reality Augment has been removed, stripping the game of a familiar item once again.Fortniteis an ever-changing game, and by now, players are more than accustomed to not getting too attached to any weapon or feature they may like because they’re aware it might be vaulted at any moment.
Chapter 4 Season 1 introducedFortnitefans to the concept of Reality Augments, bonuses that they could activate until the end of a match. On April 25, Epic Games updated the game by releasing a small patch. Most fans were happy to see theOG Submachine Gun back inFortnite, but they quickly noticed that Game Time, one of the Reality Augments in the combat category, had been removed from the game. When it was available, gamers activated the Game Time Reality Augment, they were automatically granted three Chug Splash cans and the Pizza Party item. A few seasons back, the Pizza Party could be found as regular loot on the island, but it became extremely rare when it was modified to only be obtainable with the now-vaulted Augment.
With the Pizza Party item in their inventory, gamers could throw a pizza on the ground and grab various slices in order to quickly and simultaneously heal both HP and shields. It is unknown if there is a connection here, but oddly enough, the removal of this item this Augment happened only a couple of days after the incident withFortniteTwitch streamer Clix. For those unfamiliar with the ordeal,Clix was temporarily banned from competitiveFortnitefor teaming with a stream sniper who threw this rare item at him. It’s also speculated that the Augment could have been vaulted to prevent heal-offs in late-game Storm Circles.
Game Time is not the first Reality Augment to be removed this season. A few days ago,Epic Games also removed the Jelly Angler Augment. However, this was done with the intention of improving it and eventually adding it back to the game. If Epic has the same thing in mind, there is a chance that players might see this item once again in the future.
Fortniteis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
