Domains are an integral part ofGenshin Impact, as they are the main way for players to spend their resin efficiently, in addition to World Bosses and Ley Line Deposit Challenges. Domains come in a wide variety, ranging from One-Time Domains (Exploration and Primogems) to Domains of Forgery(Weapon Ascension Material), Domains of Mastery (Talent Level-up Material), Domains of Blessing (Artifacts), and even Weekly Trounce Domains, which contain powerful Weekly Bosses.

With so many options, it can be difficult for someGenshin Impactplayers to choose which domains to focus on late game. Generally, the choice should depend on the character the player is building at the time, and in such cases, Talent domains and Weapon domains should be made a priority until the designated level is reached. However, Talent and Weapon domains do not need to be repeated too often, and they rotate the available materials daily, allowing players to focus on different Talent or Weapon materials each day. Therefore, if players are unsure of which character to focus on, they should prioritize Artifact domains and Weekly Bosses over others.
Domains of Blessing (Artifacts)
Domains of Blessing award Artifacts that are essential for a character’s strength inGenshin Impact. Although it is not part of the Gacha system, obtaining the perfect artifacts is a task that relies heavily on RNG as well, requiring players to grind and clear the domains multiple times in order to get the right artifact set piece and stats. While the artifact set suitable for a character depends on their individual needs, there are certainartifact domains that are universally beneficialand should be prioritized by players:
Hidden Palace Of Zhou Formula
The Crimson Witch of Flames is the go-to set forPyro Damage Dealers, as they don’t have many other options available. This has made them highly sought-after up until today. The Lavawalker set, while not as popular as the Crimson Witch of Flames, can still prove to be an invaluable asset in fights that involve constant Pyro application.

This domain has an Elemental Node which will apply a Pyro buff to nearby opponents at regular intervals. Cryo attacks can remove this buff effectively through the Melt reaction, allowing for more damage to be dealt with due to the Ley Line Disorder effect that occurs when Melt is triggered which causes an Energy Blast that deals damage to surrounding enemies. Bringing a Hydro character can be especially beneficial in this domain as it is very effective against the Pyro mage on Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula IV. Players should avoid bringing Electro characters, as when Overloaded is triggered, the active character will be hit by a powerful blast and take damage.
Valley Of Remembrance
MostGenshin Impactplayers who have been playing the game for a long time are aware of the amazing utility Viridescent Venerer provides when the party has an Anemosupport character. As such, Valley of Remembrance remains a relevant domain for players to grind, even though Dendro elements cannot react with Anemo. Maiden’s Beloved, on the other hand, has been a popular set for healers, though it has become less of a priority with the release of more niche sets such as Ocean-Hued Clam. Nevertheless, it is still a great set for players who are looking for the utmost healing potential.
Even on the highest level, this domain is relatively easy due to the lack of leyline disorders that could adversely affect the players. To maximize the potential of the party, consider using a character such as Eula, as her strong Physical DMG can one-shot the enemies with low Physical Res. Alternatively, players can group enemies together with Anemo and effectively defeat them with Elemental Reactions.
Spire Of Solitary Enlightenment
The Spire of Solitary Enlightenment is a great Artifact domain for Dendro characters and other support characters alike. Both sets in the Domain offer incredibly useful 2-piece and 4-piece set bonuses, making it a great option for players who want to try a teamfocusing on Dendro-reactions. It is also one of the first Artifact domains released in the Sumeru Region, making it even more attractive to players. For optimal team compositions, it is recommended that both sets are used by the same party.
This domain doesn’t have any specific elements or elemental reactions that players need to be aware of. Still, it does have a leyline buff that increases all party members' Elemental Mastery based on the combined Elemental Mastery of the party. This means that any party composition that benefits from Elemental Mastery will work well, and having characters such as Kazuha or Nahida can be especially beneficial as they tend to have high Elemental Mastery values.
Clear Pool And Mountain Cavern
Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern have been available since the beginning of the game, offering players the chance to obtain the Noblesse Oblige and Bloodstained Chivalry sets. Noblesse Oblige remains a powerful set of artifacts for support characters, providing an ATK buff to the entire party. Bloodstained Chivalry, while not as sought-after could be still useful for physical players who lack the 4-piece bonus for Pale Flame, the alternative set. If players find themselves with unwanted artifacts, they can always use the Mystic Offering Box to convert them.

Bringing a Geo character will be very useful here due to the Ley Line disorder, which increases the Geo DMG. As there are 3 different Abyss mages in this domain, Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro, bringing any element is technically beneficial for breaking their shields. Additionally, Anemo characters such as Venti, Kazuha, and Sucrose are highly recommended due to their ability to use swirls to break each other’s shields if they are positioned correctly.
Momiji Dyed Court
As a region of Electro, Inazuma’s Momiji-Dyed Court offers an excellent artifact set, Emblem of Severed Fate, for many support characters but also Burst-DPS characters such as Raiden Shogun. Additionally, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence provides a consistent way of obtaining a 2-piece artifact set bonus for ATK%, which was previously only attainable through Bosses that drop Gladiator’s Finale. This domain is generally beneficial for both DPS and support characters alike, making it a domain to farm for many players.
Enemies in this domain are Electro Infused, meaning that it is not recommended to include Electro characters in the team in order to make the challenge easier. On the other hand, Pyro and Cryo characters can be very effective as the zones in the domain will grant Pyro and Cryo DMG Bonuses depending on where they are standing. Therefore, it is advised that players take note of these fields and use taunts to lure enemies to them for a significant damage boost.
Trounce Domains (Weekly Bosses)
Trounce Domains are powerful domains that can be challenged each week. Accessible on all days, they contain unusually powerful enemies that require completing their respective Archon or Story Quests. Players can complete domains as many times as they wish, but can only receive rewards once per week by using 30 Original Resin to open the Ley Line Blossom for the first three Weekly Bosses, and 60 Original Resin for each subsequent one. Successful completion of domains can yield generous rewards such as Dream Solvent, billets for forgeable weapons, and Talent Level-Up Materials required to level up a character’s talent beyond level 6. As these rewards are limited, players should aim to complete at least 3 domains each week to maximize their rewards.
Narukami Island: Tenshukaku
This domain is unlocked after completing the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals. Players can relive the epic battlewith Fatui HarbingerSignora and receive plentiful rewards. It is important to note that Signora changes her element from Cryo to Pyro in the Second phase, so players are strongly advised to bring both Cryo and Pyro DPS units to the fight - never just one of them - or alternatively, other Element DPS characters that can be used in both phases.

Additionally, players must be aware of La Signora’s Freeze/Burn Gauge, as it can fill up and cause the active character to take damage over time. To avoid this, players can move to the safe zones located at the corners of the room, as long as they are not destroyed. Bringing a healer or NRE is also recommended to compensate for this additional damage. Lastly, since La Signora often moves around and leaves damaging zones behind, range characters can be quite effective in dealing with her.
End Of The Oneiric Euthymia
End of the Oneiric Euthymiais a Trounce Domain unlocked after completing the Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest, Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II - Transient Dreams. Players who complete this difficult domain will be rewarded with bountiful rewards and the chance to relive their epic battle against The Shogun. To defeat the formidable Raiden Shogun, the best strategy is to maintain an active shield while dodging her attacks. If Baleful Shadowlord activates, players should seize the opportunity to stun the boss by defeating their Shadowlord form. After that, using the strongest Elemental Skills and Bursts can greatly help for finishing her off.
Although Raiden Shogun is an Electro boss, bringing an Electro character is highly recommended for her boss mechanic. Pyro and Cryo characters are usually the most effective damage dealers against this boss and can take down the Electro shield quickly. To counter Raiden’s high range and mobility, ranged DPS characters such as Ganyu and Yoimiya are great options. Additionally, bringing a character such as Zhongli can also help mitigate the damage from Raiden’s strong attacks.
Joururi Workshop
Joururi Workshop, the first Trounce Domain to be unlocked in Sumeru, is available after completing the Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises quest. Players can revisit their epic battle against Scaramouche before hebecame the Wanderer. This fight can be made easier by using the Neo Akasha Terminal, which can deal significant damage. During the fight, energy cores will drop on the ground, which can be picked up to power up the Neo Akasha Terminal and enable its special ability. It may be beneficial to bring a Pyro or Cryo character, as well as a bow user, to this fight. Electro characters are not recommended as Scaramouche has high Electro resistance.
The first phase of the fight is relatively straightforward, as players can do significant damage to the boss while ignoring most of the mechanics if their party is built correctly. However, if the party is having difficulties and taking a lot of damage, it may be beneficial to bring a healer or shielder and to use the Neo Akasha Terminal to clear the elemental effects off the ground by activating it while standing on the elemental matrixes on the ground.
On the second phase of the battle, the key mechanic is the use of the Neo Akasha Terminal. Energy cores will appear on the field and be accompanied by Four-Leaf Sigils, which allow players to quickly move around the field and collect the cores. Once enough energy has been collected to power the Neo Akasha Terminal, it can be used to break the boss’s shield. When the shield has been broken, Scaramouche will take flight and four Nirvana Engines will spawn in the center. Players must act quickly to break the Engines and gather more energy for the Neo Akasha Terminal to blast Scaramouche back down. If they fail to do so, the boss will one-shot kill the active party member. If successful, players can use the Four-Leaf Sigils to climb up to Scaramouche and finish him off with ease.
