AGenshin Impactfan has created an impressive Sumeru-themed skin for Lumine, one of the two main characters. At the start of each playthrough, players are allowed to choose between Aether and Lumine to become Traveler whose main quest is to find the other sibling.
The recently added Sumeru region has revolutionized the exploration experience, which is one ofGenshin Impact’s main assets. Every region in the game is inspired by a real-life location and the Dendro nation is apparently based on Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Northern African cultures. This is also reflected in the design of the playable characters that often wear traditional outfits that hail from these regions.

Reddit user LittleBee42 has posted an interesting Sumeru outfit concept for one of the two main characters, Lumine. The art was well-received in the community as the post reached over 3.5k upvotes on the game’s official subreddit. This concept triggered a very common discussion in the community about regional skins. A big part of the player base claims that HoYoverse should addskins for Aether and Liyue for each new major regionthat arrives. These skins would significantly improve the overall immersion since everyGenshin Impactregion has a unique design approach. Another reason why this would be a great idea is the fact that every player in the game has Aether or Lumine in their roster.
The main character receives different elemental powers whenever a new region becomes available. Even though they are a crucial part of Genshin Impact’s official storyline, players often avoid including the Traveler in their team compositions. Despite being categorized as a five-star character, the MC is outmatched by mostother four-star units inGenshin Impact.
At the moment, the Dendro version of this character is the only viable option for certain types of team compositions. This is due to the fact that Dendro is a fairly new element and there are not a lot of characters in the roster that use it. However, this will likely change in the foreseeable future asHoYoverse keeps adding new Dendro characters to the game.
Baizhu and Kaveh are the most recently announced roster additions for theupcomingGenshin Impactupdate 3.6. While Kaveh’s exact release date is still unknown since he’s a four-star character, recent leaks have revealed that Baizhu will most likely arrive in the second banner phase which should drop around May 5.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
