A newGenshin Impactleak reveals a new part of the map that has a passage to the infamous Khaenri’ah region. The game’s main continent is named Teyvat, and it consists of seven major regions. Four of these regions, Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru, are currently unlocked in the game.

Genshin Impactkeeps expanding its world, with the popular Sumeru deserts added as part of the most recent expansion. Recent leaks have been hinting that the upcoming update 3.6 will add the final part of Sumeru’s enormous desert.

Every update in the game has its beta phase that contains most of the upcoming content including new regions, events, characters, or weapons. A new post on theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit shows that players will come across amysterious door that leads to the Khaenri’ahregion in the next update. The Kingdom o Khaenri’ah is one of the few regions in the game that’s not under the purview of thesevenGenshin ImpactArchons. A historical event referred to as “The Cataclysm” took place in this region 500 years before the current timeline. Terrifying monsters created by the alchemist Rhinedottir rebelled against Celestia and invaded the rest of the world. This led to the region’s eventual destruction led by the gods of Teyvat.

The Abyss Order, one of the main antagonist factions, belongs to this region. Its members are usually mysterious, but extremelypowerfulGenshin Impactmonstersthat have various elemental powers. One of the most popular NPCs named Dainsleif also belongs to this region, and he’s confirmed to join the playable roster in the future. He made an appearance in the main quest line of the ongoingGenshin Impactversion 3.5.

Despite being from Khaenri’ah, Dainsleif is apparently fighting against the Order which was hinted at during the “We Will Be Reunited” quest. The same quest confirmed that the Traveler’s sibling works alongside the Abyss. Even though this is probably the most significant leak tied to Khaenri’ah since the game arrived, it’s highly unlikely that the whole region will become explorable in the upcoming months. Fans suspect that Khaenri’ah will arrive after all ofGenshin Impact’s seven major regionsare added to the game which is still two to three years away.

Players will have to wait forGenshin Impactversion 3.6to find out more information about this mysterious door. Developer HoYoverse already confirmed that two new playable characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, will arrive in the next update.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
