AGenshin Impactfan has proposed an interesting change that would make the Geo element much more viable in the current character meta. Geo is one of the seven elements that can be used by the characters in the game. While most playable units use Visions to control elemental powers, some of them like the seven Archons use their divine powers.
Combining elements inGenshin Impactwill result in different elemental reactions that have various effects, from completely immobilizing enemies to boosting the team’s damage potential. Some domains like the Spiral Abyss require players to assemble the right party to counter the opposition’s elemental weaknesses.

With the recent release of Dendro,Geo has become a much more isolated elementand many players choose not to have any Geo characters in their team. This element can trigger only one reaction, Crystalize, which creates a shield if players attack enemies that are affected with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro. Even though Crystalize can be useful at times, players still prefer to build their team around other elemental reactions that provide much more benefit to their team. A Redditor by the name -average-reddit-user has shared an exciting idea that would make the Geo element more useful in many team compositions.
According to the post, the reworked version of Crystalize would grant a different buff to the whole team based on the element it interacts with. For example, picking up a Pyro Crystalize shard would increase the damage dealt by all party members. Electro would grant additional Elemental Recharge to all team members which would make sense sincesome Electro characters scale with this stat.
Players agree seem to agree with the proposed changes as the post reached over 600 upvotes with many comments claiming that this would significantly improve the current state of Geo characters in the game. At the moment, the majority of the player base only uses a few Geo characters.Zhongli is probably the go-to choice for most playerswho want to have this element in their team comp.
However, the Geo Archon is an exception since the main reason why players take them is the fact that their kits are stacked with utility, not because of his element. A lot of Travelers consider Zhongli to be thebest support inGenshin Impactsince he has the potential to create a strong shield as well as deal tons of damage with his Planet Befall.
