TheGenshin Impactcommunity doesn’t seem too happy about the recent changes to the game’s graphics that arrived in the new update. The game runs on a cel-shaded rendering technique giving the game its unique anime-inspired look which is one of the reasons behind its popularity.

Genshin Impactversion 3.2 has introduced some changes to the game’s anti-aliasing system which negatively affects the game’s visuals. A big part of the player base claims that these graphic changes have overshadowed the hype around the arrival of the long-awaited Dendro Archon.

The new update has replaced the two previous anti-aliasing techniques, SMAA and TAA, with a new one called FSR 2.0 which stands for FidelityFX Super Resolution. Players have already started complaining that it didn’t make any sense toreplace SMAA and TAA with FSR 2.0considering that it’s actually an AI upscaling solution designed to boost a game’s frame rate which is ironic considering that the game is capped on 60FPS on PC. Reddit user Yaver7 has shared their negative opinion on the game’s official subreddit and numerous replies in the comment section agree claiming that the new graphics look way too sharp.

A couple of players that didn’t even know about the new graphic changes inGenshin Impactversion 3.2stated that their eyes started to hurt after just a couple of minutes spent in the game. While adding FSR 2.0 might be a step in the right direction when it comes to lifting the current FPS cap, fans strongly disapprove of HoYoverse’s decision to completely remove TAA and SMAA. There are multiple posts on the subreddit urging players to submit their feedback to the game’s developer.

Despite being such a significant change that affected a large part of the player base, it actually flew under the radar in the community. This should not come as a surprise considering that the first banner of update 3.2 will include thelong-awaited Dendro Archon Nahidawho serves as Sumeru’s main protector. She is confirmed to be a new support who has the ability to adapt to many types of team composition that need a strong Dendro applicator.

Some fans claim that HoYoverse could not have chosen a worse time to implement new AA techniques considering that the new update will introduce one of the greatest boss fights the game has ever seen. The live stream event for update 3.2 has revealed that Travelers will have to fight an enormoustransformers-like creature controlled by Scaramoucheand fans don’t want to experience the new flashy boss domain with underperforming rendering settings.
