Genshin Impactofficially revealed the character demo for one of the upcoming roster additions, the new Anemo user Faruzan. The game’s official social media accounts confirmed her arrival over a month ago, and she is scheduled to appear on the first banner for the upcoming update 3.3.
Faruzan won’t be the only newGenshin Impactcharacter in the next update as another Anemo user named Wanderer is expected to arrive on the same banner. Sumeru’s official storyline did not reveal a lot of information about Faruzan, who mysteriously disappeared from this region.

Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel posted a new character demo named “Faruzan: Master of Ingenious Devices” which provides more details about this character. She works for the Sumeru Akademiya where she is known as one of the most strict members of the Haravatat Darshan. The video confirms that Faruzan is more than a hundred years old which makes her one of the oldest citizens in Sumeru. Faruzan was exposed toremnants of King Deshert’s powerwhich made her relive a big portion of Sumeru’s past which means that her story quest could reveal some additional information about the Dendro nation.
When it comes to her play style, Faruzan is expected to be a newGenshin Impactsupport. The fact that she is an Anemo user could allow her to fit multipleGenshin Impactteam compositions. Geo and Anemo are considered neutral elements, meaning that they can hardly interfere with other elemental reactions which is one of the reasons why Zhongli, Kazuha, and Venti are widely considered the three strongest five-star supports in the game.
Faruzan’s Elemental Skill, Wind Realm of Nasamjnin, allows her to deploy a polyhedron that deals Anemo damage in a small area. This skill also infuses her next Charged Attack to deal bonus damage. The Wind’s Secret Ways is the name of her Elemental Burst, and it will probably be the core part of her kit. Activating it will create a Whirlwind Pulse that moves in a triangular pathdealing Anemo damage to all surrounding enemies.
Recent rumors have revealed that Faruzan will be the go-to support for the new characterWanderer who is confirmed to be a new DPS unit. This could be one of the reasons why HoYoverse decided to put them on the same banner which is rarely the case when there are only two new roster additions in one update.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
