The Genius Invokation TCG is a gameplay inGenshin Impactthat revolves around the popular card game in Teyvat. Not only PvE and battles against friends, but Travelers can also fight random players from another world.

With a PvP feature, especially the weekly Arena of Champion, immensely powerful meta decks are bound to exist. Of course, there are many variations players can try out when making their team, but the followingGenshin ImpactGenius Invokation TCG best meta decksare so common that players likely have encountered at least one of them in PvP matches.
4Shenhe + Sucrose + Xiao
Swirl Shenhe is an unexpected meta, but it’s not surprising considering it’s both easy to use but also powerful. The idea of this deck is touse Shenhe to activate her Elemental Skilland create theIcy Quillbuff. This buff will increase the next three Cryo DMG by +1. If players use a normal character, exhausting all this buff may take a while, but if they use an Anemo unit to Swirl the Cryo, then two Icy Quill stacks will be consumed at once.
Sucrose is the popular choice for this deck as she has an annoying feature where she can mess up the opponent’s plan by force-switching their active character. While playing this deck, players shouldfocus on Shenhe and Sucrose;Xiao is only there to finish the enemywhen the end game is near.

After Swirling Cryo for the first time and losing two Icy Quill stacks, players can return to Shenhe and use her Elemental Skill again. Shenhe will consume the final stack when she recasts the Skill, and now players will have enough Energy to use Shenhe’s Burst. Shenhe’s Burst creates a two-usages summon that forces the enemies to take +1 Cryo DMG as long as the summon is on the field, which makes the Cryo Swirl even more deadly.
This deck is weak to opponents that play around Hydro cleansers like Barbara. Although the enemy’s card will be Frozen, they will take away the players’ Cryo aura, which will render Swirl reaction useless. On a good note, though, if players manage to deal Physical DMG to a Frozen enemy, the Shattered reaction will occur, and they will deal +2 DMG to the Frozen target while removing the debuff.
3Zhongli + Oceanid + Lawachurl
The Geoceanid deck typically consists of Zhongli + Oceanid + Stonehide Lawachurl, but the Lawachurl can be replaced. The idea of this deck is tostall with the other cards while players attempt to fully equip their Zhongli. Zhonglimustbe equipped withTenacity of the MillelithandVortex Vanquisherfor this plan to work. After both items are held by the Geo Archon, players can now focus their gameplay with him as the active character.
A properly equipped Zhongli can deal large damage while also aggressively protecting himself. With the assistance ofElemental Resonance: Enduring Rockcard, Zhongli’s 5-Dice Skill can now generate a total of six Shield points, a massive amount that can disable many high DMG decks.
Lawachurl is typically the choice thanks to their Monster class, which enables theAbyssal Summonscard. Combining the summoned Hilichurl withOceanid’s Hydro can result in decent Elemental reactions, but if players don’t want to play around the RNG (one of the summons is Hydro, which is practically useless), then they can swap Lawachurl for Arataki Itto. Arataki Itto can slowly build his Energy and carry the team DMG in case Zhongli’s equipment takes a while to get.
The Geoceanid deck is massively powerful once Zhongli is properly equipped, but until then, the plan can easily be messed up. Decks that can quickly defeat a card can really disable the stalling strategy. Freezing can also completely disableZhongli as he’s the main focus of this deck. Additionally, piercing DMG ignores shield, so when fighting a piercing DMG deck, players should attempt to not switch out from Zhongli if they wish for him to survive.
2Tighnari + Yae Miko + Nahida
Tighnari + Yae Miko + Nahida deck has some variations where Nahida is replaced by other characters like Collei, but it doesn’t matter much as the star of this strategy is Tighnari and Yae Miko.
Yae Miko has a unique Skill that may be underwhelming if players don’t know how to use it. With her Elemental Skill, she summons Sesshou Sakura withthree usages. If she uses it again, the stack willincrease by three. If the Sesshou Sakura’s stack isfour or more,Yae Miko will deal one Electro DMGwhen playersdeclarean end round. Then, during the end phase, her summon will deal one Electro DMGagain, making it a double Electro application, and, if Quicken is available, she will deal extra DMG on each hit of the summon.
Every damage dealt consumes one usage, so if there are initially six usages, the next round will start with four usages left.
If Yae Miko uses her Elemental Burst, she will dealfour DMG, but ifSesshou Sakura exists(usage count doesn’t matter), the summon will disappear, and she will dealthree extra DMG before the next action. “Before the next action” means the opponent will only take four DMG initially. Then, once they move and it’s the players’ turn again, the three DMG will trigger at the start of the turn. Like her Sesshou Sakura, this split DMG is most powerful for Electro application. However, since it deletes her summon, players shouldn’tuse her Elemental Burst when she has four stacksor more as it’ll be a waste. Additionally, if Yae Miko’s Talent card is used to cast her Burst, then hernext Elemental Skill will cost one Electro Diceinstead of three. This Talent is crucial as it greatly reduces the Dice cost to restore her Sesshou Sakura.

After understanding Yae Miko, players now need to understand Tighnari. After using his Elemental Skill, Tighnari’s next twoCharged Attackswill summon Clusterbloom Arrow (up to two stacks). This summon will deal one Dendro DMG at the end phase. The combination of Tighnari’s summon and Yae’s Electro application is bound to end the match quickly as they’re immensely powerful.Tighnari’s Burst also only needs two Energy, so players can instead opt for his Burst instead of the second Charged Attack if the action is better.
Unlike some decks that are disabled when a cleanser exists, this deck isn’t really affected due to the constant Elemental application. However, as some building is required, a strong FTK (first-turn knockout) deck can easily mess up the plan. If for some reason Yae Miko is defeated before she uses her Elemental Skill, the entire gameplay is ruined as Tighnari alone is not so formidable.
1Mona + Collei + Fischl
Mona + Collei + Fischl may seem extremely basic, but they’re incredibly potent. The idea is to play around with whatever Elemental reaction can be made; players can do Electro-charged, Bloom, Quicken, and Hyperbloom. With the availability of Mona’s Hydro or Fischl’s Electro, players shouldequip Collei with her Talent cardso that when someone triggers an Elemental reaction after she uses her Elemental Skill (including herself, but excluding summons), one more instance of Dendro DMG will occur. The DMG is only +1, but theDendro application can be deadly in this reaction-centric team.
Many variations exist around this team where Mona can be replaced by Oceanid, or Collei by Nahida. The idea persists, and unlike the other decks on this list, there’s no obvious counter for this meta deck. A summon removal card may mess the plan up, but only so slightly.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
