Now, another player has discovered something atypical and hilarious incident in the latestPokemontitles, which doesn’t seem to be caused by a bug.

Reddit user BobDatBuilda found a bizarre encounter involving two Pokemon while they were trying to capture one for themselves. They shared a video on the social media platform, which initially shows aPokemon Scarlet and Violettrainertrying to capture a Hippopotas. The first few seconds of the video show the screen prompt for a successful capture, after which a Gyarados can be seen in a seemingly idle position. The innocent Gyarados is unaware of the dangers that surround it, as the next section of the video reveals. Suddenly, a rogue Donphan appears out of nowhere and charges toward the idly standing Gyarados at maximum speed.
Before Gyarados has a chance to react, the rogue Donphan runs over it, trampling it underneath a devastating rolling attack. This is one of Donphan’s signature moves, where it folds into a ball and rolls over anything in its path, causing massive destruction and damage. The Reddit community found the post incredibly funny and unexpected, while some people believed that this video clip paints Gyarados in a poor light. ThesePokemon Scarlet and Violetfans say that in a fair fight, Gyarados could pose a tough challenge to Donphan, as the latter is weak against water-type Pokemon.
For those who don’t know, Donphan is aground-type Pokemon, whereas Gyarados is a water/flying-type. Donphan was introduced in the second generation who is known for its tough hide that blocks most attacks, with the highest resistance against electricity, poison, and rock. On the other hand, Gyarados has been around since the first generation and is famous for its elongated serpentine body with overlapping scales.
