The world ofThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis one that is incredibly extensive and open-ended. With various different NPCs that players can interact with, which in turn initiate a multitude of ongoing quests, there’s a lot for players to accomplish withinSkyrim. Although, the game is not without its fair share of glitches, as one player recently encountered.
WhileSkyrimis one of very few games to retain its popularity for nearly 10 years, the game does possess numerous technical issues and bugs. This can lead to unexpected and hilarious scenarios that players most likely didn’t intend to happen. The most recent example of which being a player witnessing their follower companion getting launched into the air during the middle of a quest.

A Reddit user named nickcwright80 recorded a video of their wife playingSkyrim,specifically during theLost to the Ages quest. As the pillar rises into the air, the follower companion in her party gets sent flying upward into the air, causing the user’s wife to laugh uncontrollably. Understandably so, considering how unanticipated the situation is, especially during an active questline.
It ultimately depends on which version of the game she’s playing, but it’s surprising to see that occurrences like this can still be experienced in a game as old asSkyrim. In fact, it’s impressive that players are still managing to find new glitches inSkyrimafter so long. Take for example, thefunny deer glitch inSkyrimthat one player discovered a couple months ago.
Very few games can claim to have maintained the same level of popularity and relevancy thatSkyrimcurrently boasts. The fact thatSkyrimstill has an active player base a full ten years after the game’s initial launch and is still getting is getting aPS5 and Xbox Series X/S updateis quite the achievement. Although, it will be interesting to see what the future has in store forThe Elder Scrollsseries going forward.
There has been little to no news regardingThe Elder Scrolls 6. The game was first announced back in 2018 and there still has yet to be any sort of substantial update regarding the game’s development or when fans can expect to seeThe Elder Scrolls 6released. It’s likely that Bethesda is just waiting to have enough content ready to show off to the community of fans. With any luck, new information regardingThe Elder Scrolls 6will be revealed in the coming months.
