But sensational incantations and glamorous graphics aren’t everything, and many gamers have come to expect more from their titles, which makes a recent finding by aHogwarts Legacyfan on Reddit even more interesting.
Indeed, lots of players are excited about the upcomingHarry Pottergame.Hogwarts Legacywon the Gamescom Awardfor Best Trailer and has been highly anticipated for years. Not everything with the title is perfect, though, as illustrated by a glaring bug found by aHogwarts Legacyfan in one of the game’s trailers.

Reddit user GreedyStonks recently posted a photo to theHogwarts Legacysubreddit which shows that a portion of the trailer had been impacted by an obvious issue. Namely, one of the buildings was not entirely rendered. The walls, door, and even some stones appear to be missing from the structure. This is a reminder that not everything involvingLegacyhas been going smoothly. In fact, some players have even beentrying to boycottHogwarts Legacy. But that’s not to say that the title hasn’t displayed promising gameplay.
In actuality, manyHogwarts Legacyfans had already noticed the glitches. People were quick to comment on the Reddit post, pointing out that the trailer was taken from a version of the game that’s more than six months out of date. Players are confident that the official release ofHogwarts Legacywill include improved questsand gameplay, and that the problems from the State of Play trailer will have been addressed by the developers.
Of course, nobody can say for sure howHogwarts Legacywill be received, but fans of theHarry Potteruniverse certainly have a reason to hope. As players prepare to take on the role ofHogwarts Legacy’s protagonist, there are more positive aspects of the title to consider than there are negatives. For the first time, gamers will be able to enter an open-world wizarding environment and forge their own path through the narrative. With a completely new cast of characters, iconic spells, and beautifully rendered locations from the books, fans will hopefully be able to engage in aHarry Potteradventure like never before.
