As many players continue to explore Hogwarts and the surrounding area inHogwarts Legacy, one fan has gone even further by encapsulating the in-game version of the setting in an incredible painting that took 40 hours to create. Video game fan art has existed since the early days of the medium, but thisHogwarts Legacyplayer takes the concept to great heights with this detailed painting.

ManyHarry Potterfans have utilized the several furniture pieces available inHogwarts Legacyfor their Room of Requirement and vivariums to express themselves creatively. WithHogwarts Legacyselling millions of copies already, some impressive vivariums that have been made include two immense forests and a barely recognizable beach biome. Instead of utilizing the vivarium orHogwarts Legacy’s Room of Requirement, one Reddit user has gone beyond the game to highlight the beauty of the world Avalanche Software made for the action RPG set in theHarry Potteruniverse.

Reddit user Lueur_dart has garnered 1,600 upvotes on a series of images showcasing theirHogwarts Legacypainting that centers on the school of witchcraft and wizardry but includes several other small references as well. The painting observes Hogwarts Castle from the side that features the greenhouse, Ravenclaw Tower, great hall, and grand staircase. Though multiple common room locations are portrayed in the beautiful art piece,Hogwarts Legacy’s Hufflepuff room would be hidden from view in the background of the castle, but Lueur_dart also gets some closer shots for the finer details of the painting.

With an autumn setting, one of the more prominentseasons inHogwarts Legacy, Lueur_dart’s incredible work of art that took 40 hours to create includes orange trees reflected in the lake and a couple of vivarium pumpkins in the foreground. With many comments celebrating the decision to mute the background rather than detail every inch of Hogwarts' surrounding landscape, the painting focuses more on the details of the castle and smaller things like the waterfall underneath the courtyard, a phoenix soaring through the sky, and a hidden golden snitch that is easily found near the pumpkins thanks to a close up photo.

Because of the support that they’ve received for theirHogwarts Legacypainting, Lueur_dart has confirmed that they’ll create others for people that request them via their Etsy account. Given that it took the artist around 40 hours to make this version ofHogwarts Legacy’s castle, and taking on such Etsy orders could leave them with dozens more hours of painting, the painter has set a high price tag for the incredible art piece.

Hogwarts Legacyis available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4 and Xbox One versions releasing on May 5 and a Nintendo Switch port coming July 25.
