HoYoverse has officially opened pre-registration for its upcoming space RPGHonkai: Star Rail, coinciding with the launch of the game’s final closed beta test. TheGenshin Impactdeveloper first announced the RPG asa spinoff of the ongoingHonkaiseriesin late 2021, confirming several changes fromHonkai Impact 3rd. The newest RPG from HoYoverse will feature a fully explorable open world similar toGenshin Impactwhile switching out the series' standard action RPG combat for a turn-based system.
Since the game’s announcement,HoYoversehas given fans plenty of reasons to look forward toHonkai: Star Railbetween trailers and chances for fans to test the game. HoYoverse has detailed several aspects of the games through its many trailers from introducing the game’s main cast to showing off some areas players can explore. The developer has also hosted multiple closed beta tests with some lucky fans able to try out the game early, including its final closed beta test launching this week. Now, players can pre-register for the space-faring RPG.

HoYoverse will be offering a wide array of rewards for players to achieve by hitting pre-registration milestones forHonkai: Star Rail. Pre-registration for the game has already passed 1 million users with players earning both 50,000 Credits, the game’s currency, alongside three “Star Rail Passes” forpulling inStar Rail’s gacha. Future incentives for pre-registration include even more Star Rail Passes as well as a free four-star character when the game hits 3.5 million pre-registrations. HoYoverse is also offering rewards for follower milestones onHonkai: Star Rail’s social media accounts.
The impending release ofHonkai: Star Railcomes as HoYoverse has seen success with its other flagship title inGenshin Impactin recent months. Last month saw the game once again set a record forGenshin Impact’s highest-earning bannerwith the re-release of Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato. The same record broken by Raiden Shogun had been set just over a month prior with the highly-anticipated release of Nahida. HoYoverse will look to replicate the overwhelming popularity ofGenshin ImpactwhenHonkai: Star Raillaunches.
