Visagetakes heavy inspiration fromP.T., the “playable teaser” for the now canceledSilent Hills. The first-person horror game starts players off in a creepy, deserted house, and it’s up to them to manage resources while solving puzzles and avoiding paranormal events.

To progress in the game, certain items need to be found to unlock a new chapter. However, as the game tells players at the beginning, it is designed to have difficult puzzles. Finding all of the chapters inVisagejust so happens to be one of these puzzles as well.

How Many Chapters in Visage?

In the newest update, including the console versions,Visagehas a total of four main chapters:

Visagewas crowdfunding and part of theSteam Greenlight program, so it actually only had Lucy’s chapter to begin with. Over time, Dolores' Chapter was added. With the console release in 2020, Rakan’s Chapter and the untitled Mirror Mask and VHS collection chapter were added to the full game. Due to this release schedule, Lucy’s segment is often regarded as the first chapter, but the first three can be played in any order.

To activate a chapter and experience a lot ofunsettling character details inVisage, its associated item must be found first. Dolores' is attached to the Mirror Key hanging up outside the TV room door in the main house. Rakan’s Chapter is a crutch found at the base of the stairs just outside the same TV room, and Lucy’s is the drawing of a panda found stuck to a door up these stairs on the second floor of the main house.

The last chapter doesn’t have an official name, but it can be activated by finding all 7 VHS tapes around the house, and then collecting all seven of the Mirror Mask pieces in theindie horror game inspired byP.T.

How Long to Beat Visage?

How long it takes players to beat will depend on how they handle the scares, and the puzzles present throughout. It usually takes 6-9 hours to complete the main story. However, those who like exploring, or find the puzzles a little more difficult to solve can have a 20+ hour playthrough before finishing.

It may be a small title butVisagehas been added to Xbox Game Passrecently, and has received visual enhancements on the Series X|S, with an update due sometime in November for the PS5. This continued dedication to the psychological horror title bodes well for more content from developer SadSquare Studio.

Visageis out now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the PS5 update will be released in November 2021.
