How To Easily Hit Opponents or Vehicles With the Ride the Lightning Item
Before starting this quest, it is crucial to understand that it is extremely difficult to hit an enemy with this item considering how difficult it is to control it. The smaller surface area of enemies added to the fact that they are not stationary makes the probability of hitting them quite random, and it all boils down to the player’s luck. A good trick that players can try is using the Ride the Lightning while they are below an enemy because they will hit them at the start of their trajectory and not while landing, which makes things somewhat easier. Additionally, it should be noted the challenge can also be completed by hitting ahostileFortniteNPC. These hostile NPCs are located on the map as the Nitro Bosses and their minions that can be found at Weather Station Towers. Making a non-hostile NPC hostile will not work.
Since the quest can be completed by hitting cars too, players should aim to go to areas with lots of vehicles.Major POIsusually have a lot of them, and so do thevehicle service stations. Once users have found the cars, they need to align them close to each other so the impact of the Ride the Lightning item affects multiple vehicles.
Despite the large surface area of the vehicles, it is not going to be easy to land the final blow, thanks to the unusual trajectory of the item, as well as the lack of accuracy. The Ride the Lightning item has four charges, with the first one going vertically up, the next two going forward, and the last one straight down. What makes things tricky is the middle two charges, as they transport the player away horizontally. The idea is to use the Ride the Lightning item near the cars and go straight up without changing direction, go in any direction, and then turn 180 degrees and use the third charge for the opposite direction.
In essence, players are going to want to shoot up, go forward, then turn around to go back to their original position, and then look straight down at the target zone.
This will ensure that right before the final charge, users will be at the same spot they were in at the end of the first charge, which is vertically on top of the cars. The final landing spot can be tweaked a bit but not to a large extent. Usually, players should be able to get multiple hits using this strategy and complete the required number of hits in about 8 to 9 tries. Just be mindful of drawing unwanted attention from hostile players. In that case, drive away or fly away with Ride the Lightning and use a more secluded spot.
