How to Stand Up In Inscryption

In order to stand up, players need to wait until the map is rolled out, then hit the back directional button. This will make their character in the game stand up. Turn to the right, then look pastInscryption’s clock puzzle, and look for the safe. The safe will have three dials on it, and the three-digit number is hidden somewhere in the room. In order to open it, players will have to keep an eye out for any three-digit numbers.

Where to Get the Safe Code in Inscryption

When players stand up from the table, they can also look to the left. There will be a small table with a book underneath the hammer that is nailed to the wall. Click on the book; inside these pages are descriptions of all the sigils that creatures can have printed on theirInscryptioncardsand what each of them means. On the very first page, players will find the explanation for Mighty Leap, the ability that allows creatures to block Airborne enemies. In red ink on the right side of the page is a three-digit number. That number is 273. If it takes players long enough to figure it out, the talking card the Stout will give them a few clues.

Opening the Safe in Inscryption

Once on their feet, players will be able to move freely around the creepy room where they are locked in with the crazy Lechy, the main antagonist in thecreepy horror deck builder. Head over to the safe location, and click on the top dial until it reads 2. The second needs to move to 7, and the third to 3. Once all these are on the right number, the safe should open automatically. Inside, players will find botha key and a new talking card called the Stink Bug.

Note that these items will only appear as long as the player hasdied at least once.If they have not died to the game yet, players will not find the Bug or the key inside, but instead will find Lechy’s disgusting snack. Turns out death can open new doors inInscryption.

The key is important for unlocking the drawers, which are located to the left of the safe. These drawers will hold even more clues that will eventually allow players to escape the clutches of game master Lechy. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty more spooky twists and turns in this horrorindie game.

The Stink Bug in Inscryption

Once retrieved from inside the safe, players can use the Stink Bug, which is one of the three talking cards available in Act 1. Each one of these characters will become even more important in later acts of the game, but for now, they can help a player to get out of Leshy’s claws and back into the “real” game ofInscryption. The Stoat begins the game in the player’s hand, but the other two need to be found in the room. Both are needed to complete Act 1, but thethird talking card inInscryptioncan’t be gained until the Stink Bug has been obtained.

Both the Stink Bug and the Third Card will be added to the player’s base decks once they are obtained. The Stink Bug is a rather good card; it is a Bone card, costing only 2 bones. It is a 1/2 that has Stink, a keyword that shrinks the attack number of the card across the table from it. It may not be one of thebest cards in Act 1 ofInscryption, but it’s a great card to start out with.
