Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Cameo Suits Pay Tribute to Popular Characters
TheMarvel’s Spider-Manseries has no shortage of unlockable suits, with its most recent entry,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,boasting 80 unique outfits. Suits range from classic comic-book costumes to modern MCU offerings, with the addition of a few suits exclusive toInsomniac’s Marvel universe. Many suits also boast unique stats or abilities, making players' choice of attire more than just cosmetic. However, fans of the wider Marvel universe also have the opportunity to pay homage to some of the company’s most revered heroes, as each title offers a small selection of cameo suits for Miles Morales.
The first of Miles Morales’ cameo outfits is the “Forever” suit, inspired by Black Panther’s MCU design, but with a large spider emblem in the middle of its chest. The second cameo outfit isthe “Best There Is" suit, a not-so-subtle nod to Wolverine. Both suits also come with color variations, allowing for a greater level of player expression. While the “Forever” suits’ variations offer unique options that pay subtle homage to other Black Panther characters, the Best There Is suit features nods to Wolverine’s outfits throughout the years.
Wolverine’s Cameo Suits Can Pay Tribute to a Variety of Marvel Properties
Should Insomniac decide to continue the cameo suit trend inMarvel’s Wolverine,the characters' history of cross-overs would provide plenty of options. Suits based on Hulk, Elektra, Captain America, Deadpool, and Spider-Man, himself, could all be featured, as well as some of Wolverine’s fellow X-men. Additionally, suits based on other members ofthe Wolverine family, such as X-23, Akihiro, and Gabby, could make an appearance as well. While cameo suits are unlikely to be announced as a feature ofMarvel’s Wolverineuntil closer to release, the variety of options at Insomniac’s disposal leaves the door open to a host of exciting and unexpected crossovers.
There’s truly no shortage of suits that could be adapted intoMarvel’s Wolverine. However, fans will need to wait and see which, if any, are included at the time of release. Following in the footsteps oftheMarvel’s Spider-Manseries,Marvel’s Wolverinewould do well to feature cameo suits of its own. Until more details about the title’s cosmetics, suits, and equipment are shared by an official channel, one can hold out hope thatMarvel’s Wolverinewill continue the best trends from Insomniac’sSpider-Mantitles.
