Summary
Mahito is one of the main villains inJujutsu Kaisen. Known to be a curse born from the hatred of humans, Mahito played a major role in the first season of the show. He also went on to play a major role in the Shibuya arc, where his character peaked. As a special grade curse, Mahito was always touted to be incredibly powerful.
However, the more he fought, the stronger he grew. By Shibuya, he had reached a whole new level of power that put him on a level above the likes of the regular special grades that fans saw, such as Jogo and Hanami. While Mahito was incredible in his own way, he was not invincible or anywhere close to being the strongest. There are quite a few characters who far surpass him in terms of strength.

In fact, it wouldn’t even be a stretch to say that he is JJK’s very best villain, simply based on the incredibly chaotic and evil individual that he was. The writing for this character was absolutely to the point in the series and few can be written better than him. While writing-wise, few characters in JJK are as good as Mahito, in terms of strength, there are many who can best him in more ways than one. While this list already goes over JJK characters stronger than Mahito, there are others who deserve to be added to it as well, and with that in mind, this list has now been updated.
11Hiromi Higuruma
Cursed Technique: Deadly Sentencing
Hiromi Higuruma was an unknown sorcerer at one point, however, due to forced activation by Kenjaku using Idle Transfiguration, he was given a cursed technique. Higuruma was an attorney and, surprisingly, his cursed techniques and abilities were all pertaining to his job.
The best way to describe Higuruma would be a genius. He managed to deconstruct barrier techniques and learn advanced skills such as domain expansion and many other applications of cursed energy within 12. He can utilize a cursed technique, use a shikigami, use domain expansion, domain amplification, and even reverse cursed technique and he managed to do all this in just 2 months, which is nothing short of extraordinary. Now, Mahito’s technique might be dangerous, given that it needs contact to destroy anyone, however, Deadly Sentencing only needs a second to open and once the domain is open, any sort of force is prohibited in the domain.Higuruma can easily confiscate his cursed technique, and also get the death penalty for him, which would then be carried out by him as the fight continues. Higuruma also does not have to worry about Idle Transfiguration all that much, given that he is an incredible user of domain amplification which can nullify the technique. Furthermore, Sukuna himself said that he feels his usage of cursed technique is on the same level as him and that is a praise of the highest order.
10Hajime Kashimo
Cursed Technique: Genju Kohaku
Hajime Kashimo was an ancient sorcerer from 400 years ago who was reincarnated during the Culling Game. Kashimo was incredibly overpowered and certainly one of the strongest players in the Culling Game arc. In fact, he was strong enough to hold his own against Kinji Hakari without even utilizing his cursed technique in battle.
When he used his cursed technique, called Genju Kohaku, his skin turned into lightning and allowed him to utilize any phenomena pertaining to it. Kashimo was so overpowered that he even managed to overwhelm Sukuna to a certain degree. In a battle against Mahito, he would certainly be victorious.
9Kinji Hakari
Cursed Technique: Private Pure Love Train
Hakari is a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Fans only get to see him during the preparation arc for the Culling Game. It is quite clear to see that he possesses tremendous power up his sleeve. According to Gojo, Hakari possesses so much potential that he could one day reach his level of strength. Yuta, who is another extremely powerful sorcerer, believes that Hakari is stronger than him when serious, which is yet another indication of the fact that he possesses incredible levels of strength.
He has quite a lot of cursed energy which is believed to have a very sharp edge. He has a powerful cursed technique as well that he primarily utilizes with his Domain Expansion, called Idle Death Gamble. Essentially, if he lucks out,he gains an unkillable mode, where he gains an infinite amount of cursed energy for 4 minutes and 11 seconds. Furthermore, during this time, his body automatically heals any damage with Reverse Cursed Technique and this makes him one of the strongest indeed.
8Mahoraga
Cursed Technique: N/A
Mahoraga is one of the Shikigami that can be called upon by the user of the 10 Shadows Technique. He has been seen in the series on many occasions, such as in Shibuya, where he fought against Sukuna, and later down the line, in the Culling Game arc as well, where he fought a very interesting battle with Gojo.
Mahoraga is certainly stronger than Mahito and is technically a perfect counter to him. He is faster, stronger, and can adapt to any and all phenomena that include the power of Idle Transfiguration as well. Furthermore, Mahoraga is blessed with the sword of extermination, which is brimming with positive energy. Any sort of contact with Mahito would be deadly and kill him with a single slice. Mahoraga might have lost the battles that he has fought in the story so far, however, that is only because he was up against monsters such as Gojo and Sukuna. Even against them, Mahoraga put on quite a show and, against someone like Mahito, he will be overwhelmingly dominant.
7Yuki Tsukumo
Cursed Technique: Star Rage
Yuki Tsukumo is a Special Grade Sorcerer and one of the strongest in the world ofJJK. Although this character was mistreated by the author in many ways, Yuki possesses an incredible arsenal of weapons. She has an amazing cursed technique, called Star Rage, that allows her to add imaginary mass to herself as well as shikigami, Garuda. This imaginary mass does not weigh her down, however, it does add tremendous weight to her attacks. She could even overwhelm Kenjaku in battle and that is nothing short of staggering.
Yuki also has a domain expansion that fans did not get to see at all in the story. Furthermore, she can even create black holes and with a ferocious ability such as hers, Mahito stands absolutely no chance. Sadly, Yuki was mishandled by the author during her fight against Kenjaku as this was a battle that she should have realistically won.
6Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro is an oddity when it comes to sorcerers.He was born without any cursed energy and, just like Maki, had a physically gifted body through Heavenly Restriction. His level of strength was such that even the likes of Gojo could not keep up with him in combat.
In fact, when making use of his incredible Cursed Tools, such as the Inverted Spear of Heaven, he could even kill Gojo. His only mistake was to not finish him off. For a character as fast and as strong as him, finishing off Mahito is not going to be any trouble as long as he avoids physical contact with him, which he can easily do, given that his body is much more gifted than that of Mahito.
5Maki Zenin
Maki is quite easily one of the strongest members of the Zenin Family. She’s believed to be tremendously powerful due to a Heavenly Restriction. Maki was not born with enough cursed energy, and in exchange, she was given a very gifted body. However, she had to sacrifice Mai to truly unlock her powers. When that happened, Maki was a demon reborn.
She reached the same level of strength as Toji Fushiguro and completely annihilated the entirety of the Zenin Clan by herself. With an incredible array of Cursed Tools at her disposal, Maki is essentially unstoppable.
4Yuta Okkotsu
Cursed Technique: Copy
Yuta Okkotsu is another extremely powerful character. He’s one of the very few Special Grade Sorcerers in the story and quite easily a beast in combat. With a special great curse, Rika, also known as the Queen of Curses, at his side, Yuta has immeasurable depths of cursed energy, greater than even that of Gojo.
His powers are immeasurable and he absolutely can destroy anyone standing in his path. For him, taking on someone as strong as Mahito would not be any trouble at all.
3Kenjaku
Cursed Technique: Brain Hopping
Kenjaku is an ancient sorcerer who has stayed alive with his cursed technique, using which he has jumped from body to body. Currently,he is in control of the body of Suguru Geto.
Using his incredible power, Cursed Spirit Manipulation, he has grown in terms of strength. Recently, he even absorbed Mahito, which pushed his strength to a whole new level. By all means, Kenjaku is much stronger than Mahito.
2Gojo Satoru
Cursed Technique: Limitless
The strongest sorcerer of the modern era, Gojois easily stronger than Mahito and that goes without saying. He’s the first person in 400 years to be born with both Limitless and Six Eyes in the Gojo family. This makes him unstoppable.
The fact that he has trained his skill to the absolute peak means that nobody who is weaker than Sukuna can stand in his way. Gojo can absolutely demolish Mahito in a matter of seconds.
